Live a productive, well-rounded life so that you have far more to look forward to than just your date.

People put far too much pressure on first dates not realizing they are actually just opportunities to be yourself, have fun, and not worry about an outcome.

Great things hardly happen on the first date, so just have fun and quit worrying about the outcome!

I found out as recent as this summer, that if I just sat on my ass all day on my days off, looking for stuff to do, nobody would call/text me. By the end of the day, I would feel like a loser, because if people DID text me and ask what I was doing, I'd reply "just hanging out, etc".

But, I started to realize that if I made a simple adjustment, such as making plans, even by myself, for my days off, prior to my days off, I then had something fun to anticipate and look forward to. This gave myself instant value with little effort.

Then, I found out, for whatever reason, a phenomenon would occur, where, as soon as I was out doing something, like hiking, kayaking, golfing, fishing, etc, I would have way more traffic coming my way by texts or calls or whatever, and I wouldnt feel like a loser at the end of the day, because I accomplished something (like the OP is elaborating on).

The craziest thing though, was somehow my contemporaries could sense I was out being active and having fun, opposed to the days when I wasn't. And when people are asking YOU what you are doing, and coming to you for stuff to do, they are giving you value. It's much, much easier to have success when you have self-instilled value, than when you just sit around all day waiting for your 'first date' with a girl without having scheduled activities around it.

Never had a date in my 29 years! The idea terrifies me more than cold approaching a girl at a bar or whatever! It's like there's no escape for when I run out of things to say, or just for when it gets super awkward or whatever, lol

Definitely cannot relate as I enjoy dates...unless the girl is complete loon.

But I have given up worrying that each one as the last one which I will ever be on.....or whether I am going to lose this girl.

It definitely helps if the girl is into is as well.
