My rule is to always make a move on the first date. No matter what, I kiss her at some point in the evening. I've stuck to it solidly and its always gone well. Except the other day...

I went for a drink with a girl and made a move to kiss about 1-2 hours in but was rejected, shock! She was surprised and seemed to think it was too fast. We laughed it off and the night ended on decent enough terms but I'm wondering if anyone has recovered from one of these, if it changes her perception of you, how you'd get around that, and if its worth the time if the girl is hot, which she is.

On the plus side, I'm totally glad I stuck to my rule even though the moment didn't seem right, it was the best there was and I at least get that thrill.
