After about 5-10 different girls, you get a sudden realisation that everything you wanted is starting to happen, it's not quite like you expected, and you can't actually remember or number all the girls you've slept with without thinking about it for a few seconds. As your score goes up further you'll experience some of these things:

  • You'll change your mind about a girl and turn her down, possibly at the bar, possibly while she's already at your place, maybe even while she's in your bed. You'll start thinking of excuses and for a second you'll get a brief insight of what it's like to be a women in an uncomfortable situation.

  • Like a drug, you will find yourself chasing the high. Your high might be approaching random people, getting attention and validation, getting laid, beautiful women, or all of the above. You'll go to work on Monday thinking "That was amazing but I need more!"

  • Standards will go up up up, you will find yourself uninterested in women that you would have gladly screwed before. Instead of constantly trying to impress girls you'll find yourself on a date trying to subtly check her out "do I like her waist? Hmm, maybe". When you're with an insanely hot women you'll still be the old you.

  • You stop analysing rejections in the same context. Instead of "ah, this again, why don't girls like me?" you'll have thoughts like "she was very shy, she was probably a little intimidated, maybe I should have let her feel more comfortable". This is quite an important change, most rejections you'll put down to other factors.

  • You will have problems with leading girls on, letting emotional people down gently, being unfaithful, perhaps on multiple levels. Making emotional attachments and putting sex before your friends.

  • Most important of all is the perception that suddenly women aren't all that hard to find. This changes everything. There are so many out there and tomorrow you can just find another one. Perhaps this is also the most damaging change, because you will find it very hard to commit. You need to make sure you're happy enough with your friendships that your relationships can wait.

Anyone else have any similar bits of insight from further up the ladder?
