I am 36, and prefer to date women who are in the 23-25 range. (I keep getting older, they stay the same age!) I've heard about the age-difference-as-neg tactic from time to time, but I've found something interesting: if I tell a girl "I'm too old for you," I nearly always get a positive response - she starts qualifying herself right away. If I say "you're too young for me," however (or similar things like "aw, you're just a baby!"), it rarely works out so well. Any idea why this might be?
By the way, if you're on OKC, starting your first email to a younger girl with "I'm too old for you, but [insert witty remark here]" is money.
