So, im doing work exp at a hospital. I am quite a confident person, but ive never talked to complete strangers before. This lunchtime at the cafe - there was a hb8 on her own at a table. This sounds so stupid, but it took me the whole of my lunch debating if I should talk to her (i read about that 1000 seeds planting thing).

I know no one here, if it fails I have nothing to lose right? But oh my god for some reason I was convinced I didnt have to and was scared (dont know what of). Which led me to believe I had aa which I read on here. As I finished my lunch I got up, still unsure what I was going to do.

As I approached her my HEART WAS AT 150 BPM + and I said:

"hey you alright?" "yeah thanks" "you been here for ages, are you waiting for someone?" "nah my mum works here im just waiting for her to finish :)" "ah ok, cya later :)"

She smiled at me throughout and responded really positively. if I hadn't read this sub reddit, I would have NEVER approached a total stranger. To some of you this will be small, but at least its a sucess nonetheless.

Edit: thanks for all the support guys! what a great community, i'll be sure to follow the advice and up my game. it can only get better from now :)
