I think it is a great time to enjoy myself. There really aren't any more skills that I feel like learning. I feel like I have the skills I want at this point.

This is part of the problem. The moment you feel like you're complete or that you deserve something you start becoming selfish and elitist. You expect people to understand your side of things, you're failing to realize their own perception. As 3wolfgang mentioned, twice, you should work on you for right now. Think of it this way:

You're on probation. That sucks, I can empathize, but you're on it because of something you did. This means you need to address something in your own life before you consider engaging others and mixing with their lives. There are plenty of lonely people in this world, but think about your own interests: Would you want to be with someone who has made a bunch of mistakes and refuses to acknowledge them but continues to ask the world for more benefits, or would you rather find someone who is capable of living their life independently?

(sorry if this is harsh, it's just really hard to talk someone out of "The worlds owes me this, it's my time!" mentality)

I'm just saying, because she's jumped into the frickus, she's demonstrating a flawed logic. She could have just said "I'm a woman, I utilize logic all the time, permit me to dis-agree" then served some examples or something, and left it at that. Instead making the choice to engage in the silly conversation shows a lack of logic and a strong emotional motive behind her actions.

Edit: Women can be crazy and illogical, their fight or flight reflex generally in my observation doesn't afford them the ability to make cool, calm, and collected decisions when stress is high and snap decisions are needed, especially when some kind of emotional situation is involved. For example, my ex girlfriend blamed me for being at work, and her needing a ride to a job interview. Since I was busy doing work things she was late, I finally arrive home to a screaming panicky crazy person who's threatening to kill me because they're going to be late and they're panicking. I had to eventually tell her that if she didn't stop screaming at me I'd have to knock the wind out of her to calm her down. Just calmly informing her of that calmed her right down, for a few minutes. Then in the car she screamed at me, because I knew the directions and she didn't, and I was following them, but she was panicking and under the impression that I wasn't supposed to take the left turn I was about to take, but instead needed to go straight. So, more screaming crazy woman time. Once again, I told her I'd throw her out of my car if she kept it up, as she was a liability and was probably going to get us killed in an accident.

I don't have any sort of "formal exercise routine" because I think it's boring but I am reasonably active outdoors and am in shape enough for what I do. Also my self-confidence isn't really influenced by how I look. Honestly I think the whole concept of "self-confidence" is just some thing that was made up by psychiatrists and it is a soft science after all.

But really though you have to picture things from the girl's perspective. She is going about doing her thing and an unknown guy approaches her. I can't help but feel that I am violating her space somehow. Some guy walks up and is like "I see you like herp derp books and so do I" and then she looks at me and is like "yeah..." I guess it is a numbers game and I am being a minor annoyance to plenty of these girls. Maybe I will be in the right place at the right time though.

I don't want some girl to be like "omg this guy is hawt I want to date him". I figure I would be better off just looking reasonable so I would know the girl is actually interested in me for who I am.

Try flipping around your example. If someone, either guy or girl, walks up to you in a bookstore and says "Hey, sorry to bother you, I never do this...but I saw you reading H.P. Lovecraft from across the room. He's like my favorite author and I had to come introduce myself..." Is that REALLY that bad?

Especially imagine if it was someone who sounded really confident and comfortable with themselves. Would it be so bad to then start talking about Lovecraft, what you like don't like, which story you're reading and kinda go from there?

See...like a good joke, so much is in the delivery. If you tell a joke too fast, or you don't really 'get' what makes the joke funny your delivery and timing will be waaaay off. Likewise, if YOU feel awkward when you go to talk to some girl you're GOING to be awkward.

There's nothing wrong with people starting conversations. It makes all our days more interesting when we interact so long as it's with confident and interesting people.

Well first of all I'm under the impression that the technology will exist in my lifetime to make me effectively immortal. I have a pretty substantial inheritance coming so if I stay healthy enough to make it to 60-70 the technology will probably be developed. Maybe it would start with getting artificial organs at first but the thing I want most is having my brain be connected to a computer. If this were possible I would give up my physical body and just have my brain "stored in a jar" and effectively live in virtual space. I'd also have various robots too though and interact with the physical world in that way.

I just have no interest in making my life into some sort of "epic quest". I just want to chill out and entertain myself with my various hobbies. I have so many and no desire to "devote myself" to any specific thing so I would never be "great" at any of them. I just get bored with one thing and move onto the other for awhile in a cyclical pattern.

Also how fat are we talking here? My only standard is that I must be able to maintain an erection while having sex with the girl. If she is so hideous that I can't maintain an erection the relationship will not work.
