if its loud, and you see a girl kinda shuffling, not really dancing, but moving to the music, she wants to dance. Point at her, point at you, point at the center of the dancefloor or a wall or wherever you choose. its a frat party, girls are there to dance with guys and are basically just waiting for the first one to man up and actually make a move.

I feel compelled to answer this, because the rest of the posts are terrible advice and not helpful to a guy who wants to have fun at a club.

First of all, the dance floor is a high energy arena. You should be willing to dance alone or with your friends and just enjoy dancing by yourself. It actually matters less how good of a dancer you are. What matters is how you approach a group of girls already dancing.

A group (4+): if a girl and her friends are dancing in a circle as they often do, it's super crucial that you're noticed by the whole group. Your presents should be acknowledged by her friends, so she feels comfortable. The best and easiest way to do this is by literally dancing into the middle of the circle and pulling the girl you want to dance with in to dance with you. Alpha as fuck and impressive to all. Voila.

2-3 girls: always best to approach with a wingman or two. If no wingman, try to find a girl who's friends are being danced with, but she's not. If it's only you and the 2-3 girls, engage them all. Dance with them all, not just one. Good move here is the twirl. Just grab her hand and twirl each girl like a little ballerina.

Show them that you're there to have fun by smiling and lots of Kino and always, always, always make eye contact before dancing with a girl.

I would dance near her, have a blast dancing, and then she would generally start to kind of back into me. A light tap on the hip and next thing you know, BOOM, we're dancing together.

From there, keep your hands on her hips, start to lead her movements, run your hands down her thighs and her sides, be real sensual about it. My patented move is to run my fingers down her arms and interlock fingers with her in a position that is akin to reverse hand-holding.

In college I used to just dance and have a good time with my friends, girls will usually come stand by you, just look at her grab her hand and spin her. This is pretty foolproof and usually works, if shes not into it, shes not into it, grab another girl. If you're in the bar you can walk around asking girls to dance or just have a good time and do it and they will notice.

Go with some honest friends, ask them how you dance. If they say it's bad just chat up girls at the bar, if you've got good moves dance up to girls.

Gently put your hand on her shoulder and ask if she would like to dance. I'm pretty abysmal at it (I'm extremely good at conversations but dance clubs etc elude me) but that usually works for me. Apart from it being an obvious step for them to dance with you, it shows your respect for them. Just getting behind them and grinding is just rude (in my opinion). It can work and maybe some women expect it but I'm not down with it (this is with the assumption of no body language but lets ignore that for now). As for asking for her name etc, I would leave that for when you take a break from dancing. Not much worse then shouting in each others ears on the dance floor and never hearing anything they are saying. Leave the leaning in to talk for off the dance floor.

From experience and what sounds sensible to me. Take it with a grain of NaCl.

Personally, I just find a girl that is dancing semi alone, and just go up to her and start dancing. As most girls find it, its just dancing. If she doesnt like it, she'll move.

One way is to start moving in a crowd and if you make contact with a girl, grab her waist. It's worked for me, but YMMV. DrRage's method works too.
