If I could only be a freshman again...

1.) Approach all the fucking time. All those things that seemed sacrilegious in high school becomes okay in college. Which means going up to a girl and saying those openers won't make you a nerd, it will make you a "mature" guy. Because only seniors or older guys would have the balls, so it makes you seem higher value.

2.) Freshman girls especially have been dreaming of all the hot college guys that will talk to them. You'll realize most guys in college don't know how. Be that dream for them.

3.) Please work out. Being in good shape and being young is probably the two best things in college. You'll notice how the whole athlete/jock getting more pussy thing is real, because now these girls are looking for men, not high school boys.

4.) Insta-date all the fucking time. College is great for this. See a hot girl on your quad? Let's get lunch. Hot girl in your class? Hey, I'm getting coffee after this, let's go. At a party? We're at a party, let's just fuck already. You're literally planted in a place that is full of shit to do and secluded places to close girls with. Also realize that especially as a freshman, you're going to be taking piss-easy classes and have a lot of free time, which means girls also have a lot of free time to hang out and fuck you. Keep in mind why you're there though, always focus on school first. College is so much more fun when you don't have homework constantly looming over your head.

5.) Try to figure out the times when your roommates aren't home, because having a dorm to yourself is a rare and beautiful thing in the early days of college.

6.) You're tall, white, and not ugly. You're pretty much in the top tier of guys already. Just become popular and you should be definitely set to get most of the hottest girls. At my school (1000s) of students, the hottest girls I have ever seen were almost always with tall, white, athletic dudes. Replace white with black or sometimes Asian, but you get the idea.

7.) This may seem counteractive but during the first week or so, try to build a good group of guy friends or girls you strictly have no sexual interest in. Reputations form in college within the first month, so if you're that guy who's always flirting with girls from Day 1, it may impact you negatively even if your game is solid. Let girls see you social, build up positive mystique/hype and then when you approach you'll almost always get positive remarks because either girls have seen that you're not some weirdo loner, and don't always see you flirting with other girls. Word gets around fast, even on big campuses. Be a player, but be such a good player that girls don't even care that they know you're playing them, because your value is so high. There were guys on my campus that were with new bitches every week but girls never cared because they were such Gs.

Contrary to what a lot of what people are saying here, don't blow the whole college freshman thing out of proportion. Are you going to a big school or small school? Is it state school or is it a rigorous school? Depending on these factors getting girls won't be as easy as a lot of people here are saying. I'm going to a small private school so for my freshman year of college you could not go around and cold approach otherwise half the attractive girls would know you within a week. You need to adjust your game. If you're going to a huge state school though then yes I would advise cold approaching but being indirect, don't fuck up your reputation. Also, do NOT make this a huge deal. You'll feel terrible if after the first 2 weeks you haven't gotten laid or even went on a date with a girl. Just realize the potential and give it your best shot, if you're being told that girls are everywhere and just jump on the next guy's dick, and you don't get with a girl, you'll feel like shit.

College is money because high ratio of hot females who are looking for the best four years of their life. And like you said it is little bit easier but do not forget that female mind is the same everywhere. They want to be seduced by a high quality interesting guy who has high social values.

Try to built a good social that chicks will want to be a part of it. You can join clubs or frats, you can have athlete friends. Have good connection to house parties etc...

Do direct approach, do opinion openers, do day game, do night game, say anything, just say Hi even. Do everything you can think of... Now is the time to learn and experiment. Use the three second rule and do not hesitate.

Listen man.. You are going to be around a lot of attractive girls. I do think your openers are too boring. Use the environment to help you open. Stand out. Open with something more fun, most of these girls will be looking for fun guys. College is an open minded, fun, wild, experimental, educational experience. I would advise you to quickly figure out who the freshman girls are.

Why? Most of these girls are used to being sheltered. Most do not know what to do with their newly found freedom away from their parents. Most of these girls are going to be looking for new friends, easy fun and ways to pass time. Get into social circles quickly and do not allow yourself to be cast out as odd.

Also if you're not in the gym or doing something for your body, get on it. Running or weights. This is mentioned in every thread of somebody asking for advice, but if you ever do anything that you've read on here, please do this for yourself. For the sake of importance I'm going to make sure that this sticks out from everything else that you read..

In college you will eat A LOT of shitty food. The freshman fifteen is not a myth. Seriously avoid that shit and second semester you'll have a huge edge against other males. WORK OUT.

One last thing.. Study groups sound fucking lame, and they are, but you can meet and interact with girls easily through these. I've also attended a few that ended up with most of us drunk.

Depending on school size, your type of approach may need to vary. If your school is under 5,000 people, don't cold approach often. If you see a really cute girl, do it, but don't just go around approaching everyone. You will get a reputation.

Instead, be the guy the girls wants (and you should want too!). Be at every social event that is offered to you and have a hobby. The combination is deadly. At parties, invite girls to come do this hobby with you. Cute college chicks are often surprisingly bored and get into the same mundane routines we all do. Always be thinking of the next opportunity. Too often I got caught up having a good time at great parties and missing the chance to create lasting connections (and probably having an even better time). Get phone numbers, go on insta-dates, create connections in class.

Don't allow yourself to ever say "We're just class/study mates" about that cute chick in your geology course. Go for her. Test if you have a connection, invite her to your awesome hobby/parties, and have fun with her. College is a sweet sweet time. I truly miss my time in college. Working sucks.

You'll get the best results from warm results, specifically from hosting parties and gaining social proof. Depending on the size of your school, it might be a good use of your time to cold approach, but you'll get much more solid results if you know a lot of the right people and are among friends.

Personally, I wouldn't use that opener. If you start by complimenting her looks, it's likely that she will see you as just another dude putting her on a pedestal. And the first impression is very important.

Yes! Do direct; it is the best way. Don't worry too much about phrasing--just don't be creepy. Be super genuine and 1) tell her what you like about her, 2) what you want to do with her.

Hmm. Not op but similar situation.Yeah my school is around 6k. Damn, right at the cut off. Do you think the first week of school would be the time to get the cold approaches going? At least I'd have the excuse of it being the first week.

Cold approach is a great idea! I did it tons in my early collage days and learned the ropes better than any of my friends!

Just be careful who you are "gaming". Get into the habit of randomly talking to hot girls, yes. Do Not Try to use routines and flirt with every chick you meet right off the bat.

I did this and quickly earned myself the reputation in some social circles as "the creepy pickup guy". Take it from me, That's a hard rep to shake.

Instead, go for the rep as the confident, friendly guy who isn't intimidated by hot girls or social interaction.

Leave the "gaming" for late nights in dorm rooms, parties and group outings to the bar.

This shit is so played out and tryhard it's almost cringeworthy. OP, if it's not in your character to be the slick seducer type, the type of person that would say that kind of shit in seriousness and mean it, then don't.

As a college freshman the last thing you want to do is run around trying to be a pickup artist when you're admittedly awkward with girls. College is a good time to learn how to foster genuine relations with people quickly, it's not the time to try and be something you're not. The cliche "be yourself" advice is truer than ever; the real benefit is that you're not bound by any restrictions at all when it comes to social stigmas or anything.

Don't straight up say you think they're cute and all that. Just approach and say Hi, I'm Bemully. You don't need to tell them you think they're attractive, that may just make them uncomfortable for the rest of the conversation. Everyone in college is looking to meet people, especially they're freshman year, just say hi!
