just focus on improving yourself.

people will notice you a lot faster in a smaller population than in a large one.

if they know you as " that normal kid" and then you start just focusing yourself ( gym, education, self improvement books, financial increase) everyone will notice faster. and you wont even really have to try. people are attracted to successful people.. but you know what people are attracted to more?.. people that change.

change, improve, and focus yourself. I guarantee your attraction base will increase without even trying

I have a similar situation being at a small liberal arts college of roughly ~2000 people.

In this situation, approach-anxiety isn't your main concern. You're going to be dealing with what I like to think of as tribe-anxiety.

What is this? It's the fear of being rejected from a group for risky behavior. Risky behavior - calling someone out on their bullshit, talking to higher ranking individuals to enhance your status, approaching attractive females for mating purposes, etc.

This behavior can make you or break you. You risk social rejection for possible status elevation. This is a characteristic of a leader.

How can you feel comfortable doing this? You've shied away from this type of behavior for so long, how can you just overcome it? How can you defeat this mindset?

Realize what it is. You must realize that it's all in your head. Meaning, you are creating your reality in your head, and reacting to that reality in real time. If you envision a reality where you should play it safe to avoid the harsh rejection, then you will live in reaction to that belief-system.

Or, you can create a reality where you get everything you want. In turn, you will live in reaction to your new reality. But, what is this reality for you? What types of things happen? How do you act? What do you get from it? What is different? We all want our lives to "get better", or things to "improve", but do we ever think about WHAT exactly we want to improve?

As we all know, this type of feel-good motivation is fleeting. That's why it's important to write it down. Write down the reality you want for yourself, or the ideas and beliefs you can create to get you there. That way, when you reach a point where you feel lost or back at where you started, you have something to get you back on track, or at least remember why you started.

One thing to note: Think of this as a hurdle that you must accomplish. Others have suggested simply moving away. If the women in our city aren't what you're looking for, you may as well move. Otherwise, why would you move? You can avoid it, but will that make you stronger? Will you be more confident if you avoid approach-anxiety? Is avoidance a good tactic for overcoming your fears?

I've been doing small town gaming for a couple of months now. I live in a semi-rural town in Ireland. I feel if you have your inner game down it portrays a good image and you don't need to worry about rep too much. Even when I do get in trouble and I'm caught out I use it as an opportunity to game even more.

I've actually come to enjoy hearing what new rumours are around about me and talking about them while in a set usually helps to show my high self esteem and perpetual state of NGAF.

I've gone with the mysterious nice guy game myself. Everyone knows me, has partied with me on what is more then likely multiple occasions yet no one person would really be able to say they know me.

The best I would recommended is to get your solo game working well. And keep your material fresh. A lot of people know what the game is now and some of the older stuff is well know. Try not to get caught out.

The local Estrogen network will quickly brand you when you're in a town of 5K. The real question is whether there's a tourism industry -- ski towns are the great example. Though the quantity of good prospects is just too low for lots of churn, if the flow of college kids and other singles is sufficient, then you can really enjoy yourself at certain times of the year. Being in a very small town with no tourism is a great way to get a mediocre marriage sooner rather than later.

I live in a town about that size and the only people here who have ruined their reputation have been the alcoholics and heroin addicts. Just try not to be a total dickhead about promiscuity and you should be fine OP.

Move or commute to larger city. It's the only way. Excuses are bullshit because I moved to large city with no job or money and made it the top.
