Hey guys, what's up?

Context: I'm 22, good looking, I seem to be younger than my actual age (but have beard), body is 6.5/10 (I'm busting my ass off at the gym), I'm confident but not 24/7, and I'm still developing my social skills (I do better in small interactions, like 2-3 people).

Well, it's getting annoying. And I'm pretty sure I'm doing it 90% right. This chick told me via text that she finds me "cute", although she didn't want to go on a date. I made my intentions clear since the very first days we met (it's been a couple weeks) and she was giving away hints she was into me (giggly, touched my arm, showed interest in what I said etc.). Was it my fault for misunderstanding her "compliment"? Anyways, she is slightly older than me so it would be a confidence/ego booster to make out with her.

What do you guys do to avoid this trap? I keep my expectations higher than I should so this kind of thing pisses me off, gotta quit his habit

Thanks in advance!
