How do I stop acting so goofy?

If you want the girl, circulate that one thought in your head for a few minutes while looking at her(to avoid looking creepy, ask her something beforehand so she can talk while you look). Stop cracking jokes for a minute or two.

Your body will follow the mind. Put yourself into a different mindset, and you'll be different.

It might be because you are not used to dealing with social and sexual tension. Humour and inappropriate goofiness are often ways for people to diffuse the tension.

First step is to become aware of the tension as it comes up. You need to be able to identify it when it happens.

Then you can work on interrupting your automatic responses to that tension.

I don't think being goofy is necessarily a bad thing. You just need to know when to be serious. Not really sure how to tell you to do that, you will just need to be more aware of what you are doing when you are doing it and think "is this the right thing to do in this moment?"

As a few guys have said, being goofy is perfectly fine. You don't want to be a clown but a guy that's a little clumsy with actions and words... is refreshingly normal.

As long as you have the rest of the stuff in place, being goofy is like having freckles... it's just one flavour.

It's a tough one.

The main advice is always 'be yourself', but in practice, that isn't always ideal if 'yourself' is just not the type of personality that girls go for.

So in a way, we are forced to change our personality when approaching girls and pretend to have a different personality.

I have a similar issue. I'm not necessarily goofy, but my sense of humour is kind of unusual for one, and so a lot of the time, girls struggle to relate to some of my stuff.

I guess I can be overly 'goofy' as times, too, but that's mainly because if I don't try to be more loud and extroverted and grab her attention during the early stages, then it's impossible to keep a girls attention and 'hook' her.

'Yareally' used to talk about how, in real life, the James Bond guys don't get laid from cold approach.

Own it. Being goofy is my signature trait. I love being goofy, that's what matters. Not appeasing to others. It keeps girls interested in me when I first meet them in a group, or 1:1. But the key is mixing goofy flirtatious banter, with confidence. And like the other guy said, knowing when to switch to bold and confident.

Don't listen to the other advice.

If you feel being goofy is apart of your personality, then there is nothing you can do now, it's just apart of you now. You can just turn that part of your personality off, but I don't think you are at that point of game where you have such control of your emotions you can do something like that.

My advice is to offset your goofiness, by adding A LOT of verbal sexual escalation to your game. You can be goofy as long as you offset it by being sexual.

Being goofy is very anti-seductive if that's ALL you got. You are like the kings (alpha) court jester. Whores..I mean women don't like that.
