Bumble is an interesting platform because in order to even talk to a girl she has to swipe and initiate the conversation. Thus - already showing she’s attracted to you via your pictures and profile. And it seems even though they technically open the conversation - 99% of their openers are “Hey x, how are you?” (or very similar), leaving the door wide open for you to throw out a decent opener. Usually I’ll just respond with something like “Hey pretty girl, I’m good, how’s your day going?” I don’t wait more then six or seven sentences to give them my number and tell them to “shoot me a text”. 95% of the time I’ll get a text from them within an hour or two. Again, just a little small talk and I don’t wait more than six or seven exchanges before asking them out for a drink that weekend. I’d say 60-70% of them are usually down or down to set something up - usually, the following weekend or something. Usually if they aren’t actually interested they’ll just stop responding, which is perfect because it weeds out the girls that aren’t even down to go on a date in the first place - right off the bat. I’ve had some decent success. I’ve only been on the market for about a month after an LTR and have had 3 dates with some really cute girls. FYI I will only date 7s, minimum. I’m a good looking guy and I’m pretty picky. I could probably lower my standards and get more dates but I’m a busy guy, and banging anything under a 7 doesn’t interest me unless she’s really borderline and I don’t have to put much effort in to her.
