Quick comment, i have done this routine many times and the home base thing is right on the money.
One tip though, don’t get trapped in the home base. It’s easy to shoot shit with them and drink all night and use it as a crutch and not approach other groups. Don’t let that happen!
And OP, what is your policy on alcohol? Drink a little, a lot, or none? Just curious

Question: you say be social all day. I work in a job where I'm mostly alone with no interaction and don't go out for lunch and I also live alone as well. How do you switch to a social mindset? I'm able to do this most of the time but some days I forget how to talk to humans

I would have such a nice time out, when I would go out alone. Had my first kiss at Lollapalooza solo..some cool moments for sure..but lately, I feel out of touch with myself, I don't feel like heading out alone anymore. But, i want/need to get back to it. Most of my friends are flakes and tend to just ruin the mood on a night out.

If I just had a cool wingwoman to go out with, I would be golden. So much easier to meet people and girls would pay you more attention and be more open towards you.

"Club bottle rats" LMAO 😂😂😂. This is it for me. Most women just dont want to be approach. I've given it a shot. From "im busy", "we are leaving soon" or straight up being ignored, club women have been the hardest to start dancing/talking with.

I would stay the fuck away from clubs. Loud music, obnoxious wannabe GTL cliques, and resting bitch face line ups at the dance floor edges. Its a toxic environment for any real gaming imho. A lounge or brewery spot with some hip or light music is your best bet.

Great points you raise. Especially about getting stuck into it as quickly as possible. I’ve been out solo and the longer you take to socialise, the more awkward you feel. You’ve gotta strike whilst the iron is hot and settle any doubts,

Also, the point about giving fun instead of taking it is very important. Avoid at all costs getting trapped into creating a false sense of neediness being solo.

The only point that I’d add which you didn’t include: if you’re struggling to get into “the zone”, then go to the heart of the dance floor and let loose for a song or two. I find that the energy from the music and dancing gives me that kick.

Befriending the bouncers. The first time they let you in the venue, have a small chat and offer to buy them a soft drink. They’ll remember this gesture the next time you roll up to the club on your own.

This seems random AF. "Hey let me buy you a drink".

Furthermore, it already comes off as agenda based - let me buy you a drink so you can be nice with me, forcing a friendship, which will ultimately help me pick up girls.

Is there a way to play the numbers game without having to spend money (i.e. buy girls drinks)? My go-to line whenever I go out is "hey, I think you're cute. Can I buy you a drink?" And usually, it takes me 6 to 7 approaches before I find a girl who's down to hang out the rest of the night. As you can imagine, it adds up pretty quick and this gets pretty expensive. Does anyone have an approach that's more economical?

Good advice. One other tip I have is to find another solo guy there to wing with. If you're in a "pickup" spot, they should be easy to find.

I want to add 2 things.

Getting in the venue.

If there's a line, talk with them. Just bullshit small talk. It's what I did when I started in order to get in.

On the no friends shit test. you can say you are waiting on your friends. Later, when inside socialise and make some friends. Later, you can merge the 2 groups and introduce your 'friends". On top of this, if you help the right friends, you'll now have a group you can go out with and more likely meet people with a common goal.

You can get a girl, friends and a wingman all in one place.

Those are some good tips. What about a fairly small hometown though?

I’ve traveled for work in the past and I find I have no problem at all going out alone away from home. When it comes to my hometown though it feels much more awkward, there’s less places to go and they’ll be less people there. There are no clubs or anything like that, I also feel like I have less of an excuse to be going out alone when I’m in my hometown. Being on a business trip and having a nice hotel is a great explanation as to why I’m out alone. Not having many friends isn’t so much. I did used to have that home base group but that was years ago and it definitely isn’t still around. I’d really have to dedicate some time in to getting something like that back, unless you mean just a new home base for that night?
