Nope nope nope. He's one head bump away from our family being financially devastated, no thanks. Good advice says don't put your eggs in one basket, this would be worse because you're giving up your basket all together and just hoping someone else shares his with you indefinitely.

Because a job ends when you get home. It only demands that time you are working from you.

A husband is 24/7. And also it's a bad idea to rely completely on someone for support. Because if that goes sideways you can be in a bad position. What if he cheats and lies about who he is once the I dos are exchanged.

Firstly "you're very lucky to be in this positio",, no everyone should have the opportunity to have a job and an income so that statement can get in the fucking bin.

I have both the job came first when I was dating a few men knew my job (an area manager supporting struggling schools) and openly asked how much I earnt. Which is weird I got comments like oh so you will be the man of the house.

No way! My job is more stable and reliable than most men and they treat me better at work than many men have. I also can’t take the risk of losing my livelihood. At least with my job I can get another job or advance even more in my career to be able to support myself if the worst happens at work where as if the worst happens with a man I have nothing to fall back on. Men are too much of a gamble and I would rather have the sure thing my work experience and connections provides me.

I wouldn’t do this, it’s a bad idea for obvious reasons.

If I had to steel man this I’d assume the woman who think they’d do this are imagining a man who makes significantly more than them, to the point where their income doesn’t impact QoL as much, and they may believe it’s more fulfilling to just raise children (especially if they hate their job). It puts them in a seriously vulnerable position, but if they are naive about potential consequences/are in love/trust their partner they probably think it’s a reasonable trade

No. My career isn't just a source of income for me, it's actually quite a big part of who I am (hence the reason why my job is in my username). I love my work. I find it fulfilling on multiple levels. I'd be devastated if I had to give it up completely.
