I don't think about it at all. I'm not religious. I think religions are so flexible in what any sect preaches that it's meaningless. Christianity is also so large that it is almost a blanket term for many different religions. What do I think about birds? Are we talking about hummingbirds or ostriches?

If you mean most modern churches, I don't think they have a lot to offer men. They've mostly sold out to feminism and gynocentricism just like the wider culture. I've read a lot of theories on why congregations are about 2/3rds women now but my own take is it's just due to men getting tired of the gynocentricism and bowing out. The men that are there are rarely the strong, bold, courageous type like David or Jesus, but rather meek and wimpy to be blunt.

If you mean picking up a Bible and reading it for yourself, well then it gets more interesting. I've found it refreshingly balanced - calling out vices that women tend to struggle with more just as much as ones men tend to struggle with more. Like nagging, gossip, and slander. Another example is Paul writes to husbands that they should "love their wives as themselves" instead of the message our culture (and many pastors) push that we should love our wives much, much more than ourselves.

There are parallels with personal growth. After salvation, a Christian is supposed to devote the rest of their life toward working on overcoming sinful behaviors and building good character (as well as working with other Christians to encourage them to do the same). In my experience, most "Christians" don't do this and instead treat forgiveness like an endless get out of jail free card.

To me Christianity shows a balance way forward between men and women. It doesn't force one side to take on the burdens of another. You are encouraged to help your brother/sister.

I've been really getting into Gnostic Christianity lately. It's incredibly interesting and I feel it has a balanced Masc/Fem view of the world.

The only problem I have with it is that it's been co-opted by woo-woo new age feminist hippies who take Sophia wayyy too far.

These days with the obsessive woke progressives trying so desperately hard to move the needle of society and bend it so quickly to its ideas of good, I'm reminded of why the ideas and morals in the bible got put into there: despite how they weren't idealistic, they were tried and tested, for thousands of years, and stuck around because they stabilised society. The exact opposite of what's going on right now that tends to be extremely opposed to christian values.

Not religious - but I think it's worth acknowledging that faith (not necessarily just Christianity) has offered a degree of stability that allowed for civilization to thrive; I don't think we'd be where we are today, if it weren't for some of the ways faith gave people living centuries ago a sense of structure, discipline, order, or purpose.

I would acknowledge some amount of that stability came out of Christianity (or whatever faith) spelling out distinctive roles for that society's/civilization's people. You know, like "Men provide for/respect your wives; Women serve your husbands/household." kind of rhetoric. There's a degree of stability in people's lives when they are/were simply told what to do, how to behave, what was expected of them.

But it also comes with a whole laundry list of arguments against Christianity as anything I would possibly consider believing in. I see too much plain inborn hypocrisy within the faith - whether that's down to violating some amount of their own 10 commandments, or logical argumentation about it all, that invariably boils down to "god works in mysterious ways" as a way to otherwise simply say they don't know and can't answer, and expect that to hold up to scrutiny of why something is the way it is.

There's the nutjob televangelists who are scamming little old ladies out of their retirement; whatever happened to "thou shalt not steal". There's morons like Kent Hovind trying to disprove general relativity and atomic decay to prove his young earth creationism opinion; whatever happened to "thou shalt not bear false witness". There's fairly consistent stream of pastors/bishops/preachers, who get convicted of child molestation; whatever happened to "thou shalt not commit adultery". And so on and so on.

Christianity has become a mockery of what it once was, riddled with hypocrites, and not a faith I'd take any more or less seriously than Scientology at this point.

I personally was raised christian, lost my faith and became an athetist. a while later i spend a lot of time thinking about Christianity again and I found my faith again.

The bible is a piece of art. it's not a history book, it's something to interprate and something to learn from. there is so much beauty and spiritual sense behind this religion that it is no wonder it became so big.

If there is no god and what I believe in wouldnt be the truth, I wouldnt care because this amazing set of ideas shaped my ideals and helps me daily with finding purpose and reason in my life. and It would still even If I knew there was no truth to it. It just helps you with finding yourself.

To me Christianity is about hope, forgiveness and the golden rule. I think it brings so much value and thats why it's sad to see both what people do in the name of such a beautifull philosophie and also how people percieve this religion as a whole.

I don't know why you asked this here, but all the advice I can give from my personal expirience, see for yourself. explore yourself spiritually and explore diffrent religions until you find a religion that you just allign with.

I grew up "christian" per say but we had the choice in France but I did it for my Mom tbh.

But Now, Personally Im anti religion and to me, "wokism" is one of them.

I don't want NOBODY to tell me What to do, which is exactly what religions do, On top of being one of the most devising thing ever !

There are enough Laws and and customs that we HAVE to follow.

The constant Attempt to Recruit people to their religions (All of Them) is what I hate the most !

There something to it or else nations like North Korea wouldn't try to ban it. However it doesn't mean that Christianity is 100 percent correct. Christianity has it's flaws like all other things do.

It has value as a collection of stories showcasing a value/morality system that's conducive to a sane and sustainable society.

However, it is mixed with too much outdated ideas that have to be adapted to modern times or simply ignored. These can be used (even with best intentions) to justify behaviors which are damaging for both individuals and society.

Also, I'm not comfortable with the way it puts blind faith on such a high pedestal. It creates too much tension with science, which leads to tension with non Christians.

I think overall the potential for harm outweights the good parts, unfortunately.

I've been an anti-Abrahamic atheist since before I've been in the men's issues space, so I don't have a positive position on Christianity. However, let me take one beautiful question you asked:

What do you think about the spritual and societal message that this religion offers us as men?

As human beings the message is disgusting. But as men specifically? Look at the central figure of this religion (Yeshua of Nazareth). Christianity idolizes an icon of male altruism and male disposability. This is absolutely awful from a men's rights perspective.

I think Jesus was an example of "the perfect man", according to contemporary philosophy, and that Christianity (and Christian morals/ethics) are the very foundation of "western society" to such a degree that many fail to realise. Some of it may not be particularly relevant anymore, but there is much wisdom and truth to be found, even if it only serves as a vehicle to unify and deliver prior philosophy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The church can go get fucked though, especially that bastard with the silly hat.

There is a reason why the phrase "culturally christian" exists, (with a notable recent usage being Richard Dawkins). I don't believe in God, or any of the "religious" parts, it's more of an "Aesop's fables" type thing for me, but I don't have this rabid hatred for it as many others seem to.
