Texting for days is absolutely the worst idea. If you had a very short time speaking to her, you can say: "hey this is Bob from yesterday. I know we didn't have much time to chat, but I would love to take you out and get to know you better. Let's grab a coffee at XYZ Cafe Tuesday afternoon and see where this goes".

Don't make your first dates long. Spend at most an hour. Tell her that the date will only be an hour so she can plan something else after it.

Get straight to the point when contacting over the phone. I'm not gonna waste my time talking about all types of shit with a woman I want to hook up with when I don't know the feeling is mutual. What if you talk to a chick for days (or weeks or months like some guys apparently do) and then when you try to set a date she declines? I value my time a little bit more than that.
