For over a year, my wife has known my intentions to divorce her, but I gave it time and we fell into just a pattern of basically being roommates. I couldn't take it anymore and have been filling out paperwork to file.

We were both drinking the other night, nothing too crazy, but she was a few beers ahead of me and I could tell she was feeling it.

A fight started and I basically reasserted to her my intentions. I said that I had been talking to a lawyer and I wanted a divorce still. She told me to just do it then. The fight died off and the night ended with us not speaking.

Fast forward to the next day, and we didn't talk much. A couple days pass, and it's like nothing even ever happened. She's still talking about making plans for the summer and going on like we never even had the conversation. I need to talk to her about the childcare stuff and get information from her about what we'll do with the house, but I swear it's like we never even had that conversation.

She always remembers our drunken conversations, even when we're way more intoxicated than we were that night.

What's going on here? I don't believe for a second that she forgot it. Am I overthinking this? Should I just fill out the paperwork based on the information I think it should be for the house and kids and just let the lawyer make corrections down the road? This is my first divorce and I don't know how to bring it back up to her.
