hello support group,

my attorney advised me yesterday to "get your affairs in order and find another place to live temporarily" - because the roommate setup I have now could lead to "unfavorable escalations" given the history of toxicity in the marriage; we are just started the divorce process. I have the benefit of by stbxw being out of the country visiting family for the next two weeks. here's my dilemma:
1) I have no place to go - my family lives out of state, we live in socal. I have no friends (refer to toxic marriages with NPD spouses)

2) I work from home, and need constant stable, reliable, fast internet, and a place to be on video calls all day long. I have lots of cash reserves, that's not the issue.

3) I have my own espresso machine; it's the love of my life.

with the exception of number 3, what do you guys recommend. We're still splitting chlid duties 50/50. Also SoCal isn't cheap, and I don't want to be locked into a rental agreement not knowing what's coming. And, also, do I open up a new bank account under my name only before having starting the divorce process? for context we have a joint checking/savings, and then she has her own... see how that worked? (FML)
