So yesterday I posted (ironically) a comment how my very likely BPD stbxw (will not review the evidence here) had not yet flipped from the "discard" to the "hoover". clearly I spoke to soon. She accidentally locked herself out of her room, and called our daughter on "my" day with my kids (she is fully blocked by me). Since we're living in the same house, I reluctantly decided to "help" by picking the lock of her door, so as to avoid paying for a locksmith. (begin counting mistakes now...). So, I did that, all the while she was 1) very apologetic, claiming to be very embarrassed and appreciative, 2) commented how "I have lost weight" (thank you, Gym), and promising to help take care of the kids while I fixed the situation (picking locks is obviously not my forte). All the while, I'm doing my best to not respond, keep it strictly profressional, and not engage any sort of "converstation". Just "yes", and "no". What I experienced before, during, and after this event all but confirmed that she 100% has BPD (see all other posts on this topic - long histroy) - not only did she exact control over every aspect of the situation - even attempting to direct me to go "buy" a lock picking set from Home Depot (doesn't exist), but instructing my on how to do it, with the help of that clever YouTube video (did not help). No sooner had I completed the job when she reverted right back to her usual bullshit of lashing out, meltdowns, and getting angry for not "getting what she wanted when she wanted it" on a slew of other random topics (none of which were relevant, pressing, or an of my business), and I immediately regretting even literally... openning this door - wow, the pun just works. Anyhow, lesson learned. Next time let her call and pay for a lock smith. not my problem. rant over. who's up next?
