So I've recently found myself in a weird spot at work. My first line supervisor is a woman in her late 40s, married, kids in their late teens. I took my current job with the clear understanding that I was doing it to make 50/50 custody qork. Everybody involved understood it when I came aboard. My last job had me traveling overseas often and into dangerous places doing things that I am extremely passionate about. I loved it, but I had to leave it abruptly in order to cut my ex off at the knees and take the ammo out of her attack strategy. Some things matter more than anything else...

Anyway - I've been catching endless grief from the woman I work for lately. Riding me to attend early morning meetings on her behalf on weeks I have my son, demanding i stay late, etc. Telling me I'm working the system to get out of work and using my kid to do it. I don't want to get into specifics - but you don't get to my position by being lazy. I have rank and I've earned it. She has a genuinely limited ability to hurt me - but she's also been going out of her way to portray me as a malingerer. There isn't a profit and loss we're responsible for. Im just not working a minute longer than I have to on the weeks I'm a dad. And that was the understanding coming into it.

I cant help but think - if I were a single mother - this would be the easiest workplace lawsuit I'd ever filed. Anybody else ever experienced something like this?
