Schools are usually staffed by women who cater to their own kind. When my nieces and nephews were younger I was frequently a VIP (special guest) at their school(s). I’m most cases the women teachers excused girls for their behavior but dealt harshly with boys.

This study was interesting in the second article that says that twice as likely to be hired than women in math tasks when only the gender was available as information whereas the bias reduced, but didn't go away when information based on their performances is given. I would like to know if someone can mention the validity of this study.

Not exactly the most recent references, but it's not a new issue.

For a start, we know that teachers mark girls higher than boys for the same work (source, source), so it isn't even necessarily true that the girls are doing better, or at least not by as much as people think. It's quite possible that at least a part of this is due to the fact that the girls are being patted on the head and told they're clever when they're not, which is pretty patronising on the face of it.

But even if that wasn't true, it's no great surprise. Girls and young women in education have had decades of preferential treatment aimed at getting them to do better. They are now doing better. Is this somehow news?

Here in India (and I’m pretty sure other 3rd worlds as well) I remember when the boys got something wrong the teachers would beat the crap out of them (both male and female teachers) but if a girl got the same problem wrong the teachers would encourage the girl and actually help her…….

My state (Indiana) is the opposite. I've also taught and have a degree in education.

In Indiana, boys outperform girls on average in Math, Science, and Social Studies as you can see here. Girls only outperform in reading. Boys also scores higher on average on SAT, perform equally well on ACT, and score higher on a majority of AP test results, including every single STEM subject. The only subjects girls outperformed were language and art based by small amounts as can be seen here.

This just shows results vary significantly depending on where you're from. If the UK results show that girls are smarter, then the US results show boys are smarter.

Radical feminists insist all non-physical differences between men and women are socialised while growing up. (Funny how there are so many obvious physical ones, but there being neurological ones is unthinkable.)

Even girls who are given gender neutral media gravitate far more often to dresses and makeup vs. sports and toy trucks… even very young apes choose to play with toys that align with their ‘gender roles.

But never mind, assume they’re right and it’s all just about what they pick up from who teaches them in childhood.

For well over a generation now the vast majority of schoolteachers for both boys and girls have been women. There are far more single mothers than single fathers (nothing but evidence that women are more burdened if you’re a child-hating radical feminist, never mind the millions of loving fathers who are desperate for longer - or any - custody of children they love).

So the vast majority of children’s authority figures have been women for several decades now. With a provable bias towards favouring girls and at least something towards demonising boys.

Does this have no socialising effect?

Honestly, does anyone give a shit whether they outperform or not? It really doesn't change shit. They want to be better at everything except at the dirty jobs. Earn the most money. Now what? Where does this take them? back to us. It's like people are constantly busy trying to prove us something when nobody gives a shit about those people. Regardless of how deep you think about these sorts of situations, it always boils down to one key thing: We do the dirty work. As long as none of them are willing to carry society in a similar way, they get to drown with us.

They don't outperform us because they are smarter. They outperform us because they are less impulsive. Testosterone makes males more impulsive which is the last thing needed when deeply learning new concepts.

It's makes it lot harder for us boys to sit down and absorb educational content, however there is little to no difference between intelligence in boys and girls.

When women and girls aren't allowed to follow education as high as they want to (all ivy league level schools wouldn't admit women until the 70s) then yea historically you couldn't know bc there wasn't enough sample size. That's all I know about that. But now that more women at least in more places can work towards education then the data would be a bit more thorough and inclusive to gather the most accurate info.

Schoolchildren tho? Don't know enough about it. But at a university level we only have that data the last 50 years or so
