Realistically people are overreacting a bit, yes it’s unsafe relative to some European countries but it’s not the purgatory (depending on the country), just follow basic safety rules like watching your drink, meeting in a public place, watching out for catfishes and avoid the dangerous parts of town maybe even share your location and just trust your gut mostly. Now as to the reason, many girls here absolutely romanticize and glorify European men to a lot of them it’s like you brought a Disney prince to life like it’s borderline psychotic they’ll treat like a mid Frenchman like he’s Alain delon. One of the prettiest girls I know that’s also smart and comes from money is dating an average German just because he’s German.

In brazil i have heard many stories of women that partner with men to steal from men off of dating apps.
