So long story short, I (23M) was going to a local auto zone to grab some windshield wiper fluid. As I got out of my car I saw this girl (22F) crying and I asked what was wrong. She said her car was acting up. I diagnosed the problem myself for her in the parking lot and found out she just needed engine oil.

After we fixed her problem I got her number and texted her to make plans to grab drinks on Monday night.

I woke up this morning to her dad following me on instagram.

Could I use this situation to my advantage by messaging the dad and starting a convo to build rapport or just leaving it be?
