No. Looks matter at every level. All else being equal, a 9 will attract more people, hotter people, attract them with less effort and have more leverage in relationships than a 7.

Both genders, but especially women, seem to have a threshold system with respect to important mate choice criteria. Nothing stops mattering at all, but diminishing returns set in once you reach someone's threshold in that criterion.

Depends on the guy. But most guys who are "9s and 10s" date women who are as good looking. But I have seen some of these guys with women who are "7s"

Look, I'm absolutely never going to have the six pack ripped underwear model type body. I have more of a powerlifter type physique which some women do like but is way more of a niche. I'm also obscenely hairy which women tend to either love or hate. To some women I'm a solid 9 (and a 10 to my GF or course), others I'm a solid "Ew".

I suppose I’m confused as to what angle you’re looking at this from, but men have no attraction floor while women certainly do. For relationships, sure some men are able to have their pick but it’s not often.

From a man’s standpoint, a woman not being fat in a western country already puts her miles ahead of the pack. And I don’t mean obese like most people assume today, I mean like 2005 fat. If you can maintain that kind of shape (which also requires self discipline), you’re golden.

Also, I’ve found personally that a lot of knockouts are nuts because no one is willing to be honest with them. This made someone who is peaceful/doesn’t bring problems a premium.
