Hey,

I’ve been doing daygame for several years now. I’d say I’ve done between 1,500 and 2,000 direct approaches overall. I’ve had a good amount of success, lots of dates, a few long-term relationships, and overall, it’s brought a lot of value to my life.

But here’s the thing: even before I took a break, I felt like I was starting to lose the spark.

I was still going out, still trying to stick to my goals (like 4–5 approaches per session, using the three-second rule, setting weekly/monthly targets), but something had shifted. That instinct to act in the moment just wasn’t kicking in the way it used to.

Eventually, I ended up taking a break from daygame, around 8 months off (I lived in the middle of nowhere).

I started going out again about a month ago, hoping the time off would reset things, but I’m still running into the same issue.

The desire is definitely there. I want to approach. I see girls I find attractive, sometimes even get positive signals, but I don’t have the spark and then the moment’s gone.

Despite all my past experience, I’m now only managing 1 or 2 approaches per session, sometimes 0. Which is not enough to keep my level and to improve.

Has anyone else gone through something like this? Losing momentum after years in the game — even with decent results? Is it burnout, ego, or just overthinking?

Would love to hear how others have dealt with this kind of slump.

Thanks in advance.
