I have an issue with some gay activists. These are the guys who are either still fighting battles they won decades ago, or simply overvalue the “feminist alliance” to the point they lend support to feminist anti-male campaigns because they a) think they’ll be exempt; b) assume those who are hurt by them will only be their “homophobic enemies”; c) assume feminists will always back gay activism as a quid pro quo; d) assume they’ll get a few crumbs from the feminist table in these DEI type programs.

So it depends on who you call “gay”? The guy who lives down the road? Or the feminist aligned group that campaigns in favour of “inclusion”, feminist style - which is really about penalising men.

And the unspoken truth is that gay men also face many of these issues. They will suffer from educational discrimination. They will be penalised by evermore limitations on male spaces and anti-male laws and policies. Plenty of gay guys here have told about how they’ve been fetishised and harassed by women who know they’re gay; even to the point of making “#Metoo” type HR complaints about them. How does that work out in an age of “believe all women”? Whose side do you think the feminists are on in these ones?

So there will be complaints here about some of the support certain gay activists give to feminists. But you should NOT confuse this with anti-gay male views.

It’s not at all a common opinion on here tbh. I’m gay, and it doesn’t really matter which way a guy swings in this sub. But it might not be that way for women, or gay women… some are still pretty bitter about how man hate negatively affects their lives, and vent that frustration on women, but really those people are usually called out for their rubber banded behaviour. A lot of us here want modernity, not to go backwards in egalitarian equality.

So let me get this straight (no pun intended) you thought that a sub about men's rights excluded gay men? What kind of backwards thinking is that. Gay dudes really care about men's rights because:

They're men, and all humans work for their own self interests to some degree.
They're into men, to the point where they get romantically involved with, and dare I say fall in love with men, which leads into my final point.
They want to fight for those they love, like any good man does.

In conclusion, re-examine your personal biases, and understand that you're welcome here.
