I'm not sure what the argument is here. Most women don't want to be cheated on, so finding out is obviously traumatic to them, and they'll have a negative emotional reaction. That doesn't mean they'd prefer to live in delusion, it means they'd prefer not to be cheated on.

With delicate issues such as this, HOW the information is presented is important, as it’s a painful thing to hear and requires the woman to believe someone she loves is intentionally betraying her.

Women are often told “I bet your husband is cheating on you” as an insult (you even see it around on this sub a lot.) So many women have learned not to IMMEDIATELY believe every single person who might say this to them. That person might just dislike her husband and be trying to cause turmoil in his life by telling his wife lies about him.

It can and HAS ruined relationships when the woman assumed she was being cheated on, got angry only to find out she wasn’t.

How were you telling these women? Did you present evidence? How did you KNOW they were all being cheated on?

Unless there’s proof or a confession from the husband, why would they want to hear accusations? That’ll only result in mental anguish.

Nobody wants to hear their partner is cheating on them, especially if there no proof. It’s understandable their going to react negatively to being told information like that.

r/AsOneAfterInfidelity is a sub dedicated to reconciliation. There, you can find many stories where the betrayed spouse tells the unsuspecting other betrayed spouse about the affair. Or they find out about the affair from the other betrayed spouse.

The reactions are not of anger towards the person who outs the affair, but of gratitude because now they know.

You are just as bad as red pill men. You think you know what every woman is thinking. How about SOME women may feel that way? And you probably do so you project your feelings onto us.

Personally, I would want to know. And if I have anger at the messenger, well feelings are irrational and sometimes misguided. Often the anger is directed at the messenger because the first thought is to defend your partner. If someone told me he was cheating, I would be angry with that person because I trust him first. If they had proof, then the feelings would be all over the place….. betrayed by him and feeling betrayed by the person telling me. And of course humiliation for trusting the wrong person.

This is not an easy situation. It’s complex with complex emotions and judging women or men for how they react to cheating is childish.

I know surveys show men being more upset at physical infidelity and women with emotional infidelity so maybe that has something to do with it?

It’s because for some women the illusion of happiness masks the reality of their lives. It’s not that they don’t believe their dude cheated but rather they work hard to maintain their delusion. Their partner doesn’t exist as an autonomous being but a cut out to her imagination.

You see it plenty of times. The girl who gets played by the dude who has 2nd grade leading levels. It’s not that she’s actively not seeing the manipulation but rather working hard to maintain her delusion.
