A colleague of mine actually supported his ex through her dating, because offloading her to some other guy was much cheaper than paying alimony.

Also, as someone who has gotten through a divorce twice, may I offer a piece of advice? Don't remarry.

I will probably never get married again. My thought is that if someone loves me and wants to be with me genuinely that much, we don’t need to be married. Th only kicker is that society and legal norms stipulate marriage for many rights and benefits … so it sucks there. The world needs to wake up to the fact that marriage just serves to put mostly women down, but also both sides in general.
