There are a lot of gambits and social jokes for different levels of interaction, they’re specifically created for moments like these. Learning them on your own would take years, it’s much easier to read about them once and instantly know what to do....

You need to find out what kind of comedy makes you genuinely laugh, then find out how to start being humorous in socially appropriate ways. Unfortunately, if you’re a very serious guy, you may have a relatively dry or dark sense of humor. This still works but you need to be tactful about when and where you use it, and understand how to appear calibrated when using it.

At the end of the day, trying to assume a humor profile that doesn’t actually amuse YOU will undermine your attempts to be more interpersonally effective, because it will come across as inauthentic.

So let me ask you, when was the last time you laughed extremely hard? What made you laugh that hard? If you’ve never laughed hard, do you think you’re scared to?

Try to see everything in life by switching modes. What I mean by that is some guys like to stay on a serious mode only. Which is okay but what’s unflattering about that is it’s bland and boring. When you become good at naturally approaching people, you can get in and out of serious mode real quickly, and switch to fun mode in order to stay in your frame and make girls feel like they’re riding a rollercoaster of emotions.

You can start small say like by listening to comedian podcasts or YT videos, or even watching them do their bits on stage. By doing that you purposely change your atmosphere; you’re getting relaxed and more ease. You can also learn how they do similar routines (switching serious and playful modes back and forth) pretty easily. That’s what makes a conversation is so interesting.

You can be "serious" and still do just fine. Most guys aren't comedic wizards and don't tease women like when you were in middle school. The problem is likely confidence/self-esteem. If you interact with women in an unnatural way thinking you "have" to make her laugh and have to be xyz, then you're going to come off as nervous, potentially eccentric or fake.

Ger closer to her, whisper in her ear, and when she just stops and stares at you go for the kiss.

Then lead by saying "what are you doing after this?"

Then say "I'd love to show you my house."

Women are actually sexually attracted to stern and serious men because those traits are more masculine than being a fun loving tease.

If a girl likes you, she takes everything you say as a tease and will laugh even when you aren't funny. You can be stern and serious and the girl will feel like you are fun.

If the girl doesn't like you, you could have maximum comedy and teasing skills and she will still feel like you are boring.

A girl's interest in you is based on you simply existing.

Just fix how you pick your targets and selection of who you give your time to by using the above info to test their interest. If you are talking to a girl and you know you said nothing funny and she seems like she is having fun anyway...give her more of your time. If you know you just said something extremely clever or funny and she seems bored, move along.

The last thing you want to do is exert effort to change how you talk, because that will throw you out of your default state. When you aren't operating as you normally do, women sense that and mistake it for "try hard" energy and urgency. If you want to be more fun and a better tease in general, you need to work on that slowly over time so it becomes your genuine default.

I don’t really tease that much I don’t think it’s essential. I will rip on them a little but that’s it. Just make sure it’s playful and not mean, can take some practice to calibrate if your not socially intelligent

Talk to people you don't know, and literally just try anything, watch people who can do it, what they say, try to say the same thing, slowly you will learn the way to say it. And when you know how to say it, you can literally make any women attracted to you

Oh man just wanted to say that I feel you, been there too many times. It gets to a point where I can see the interest arise and then suddenly vanish so clearly, it's a fucking bummer. I also don't drink, which, while not an excuse, does make it harder to join her "playfulness" in a relaxed way.

There’s honestly no way around it. Laughter snd goofiness is key. Gotta be completely unserious especially around women. They don’t want to be taken serious lol, they’re “just girls”. Try teasing banter and sarcasm with coworkers, people on the street, your girl friends

Think of the frame you are in when you are around cousins and siblings. If you are funny and cool one in those group , you can be in any group.
