I think having money is overstated. The most important thing is, she must think you're going somewhere.

To illustrate, most guys get laid more in college than in their 30s and 40s. That's even though they have far less money in college.

So it's OK if you're in a lower status job if she senses you're working to improve yourself,.

For actual dating as in being in a serious monogamous relationship, it matters significantly.

For pure seduction and casual flings it doesn't matter at all because seduction is about making her feel the sexual tension and lust spontaneously in the heat of the moment and act on it on pure impulse, sometimes without even knowing each other's name depending on the context or place you meet her.

But for dating it matters because when things are not hot, and you need to build something serious with someone the finances need to be stable to avoid negative tensions, arguments, fights, loss of respect and loss of trust in your leadership.

But in terms of casual flings and one night stands etc, I think it's completely irrelevant. A number of my most successful friends (when it came to getting laid) were lifelong 'wasters' who were usually unemployed or at best had a low paid gig for a few months, but they were very good looking dudes and they hooked up with new girls all the freaking time. I don't think the girls saw them as 'boyfriend material' but they wanted to bang them still, and my friends were quite happy with that deal lol

Everything is relative and location matters A LOT.
a 10 in Estonia probably isn't expecting much.

a 10 in NYC has celebrities, nepo-babies, athletes, rich guys in her DMs.

Plenty of times I've connected with a girl and in her stories she's sitting court-side at a knicks game (thousands of dollars a seat) and I'm just like, I can't afford this girl.

TLDR: it's a function of her options and the prettier the girl and the bigger the city, the more it matters.
