How do you get the number ? Getting a number is meaningless in itself, it has value only if you already need to plan something or communicate about something. Usually you want to have a verbal validation for a date before you get the number.

A good tactic I’ve found with cold approaches is “I’ll give you my number and if you ever want to chill or get curious, message me” works a lot for me.

Might I suggest asking them out instantly and in that moment if they are free…. Don’t ask for the number or give out yours till you have proof of chemistry; and have some class, if you ask her out in that moment, at least pay for whatever you’re going to have be it coffee or dinner etc; and then if things look good; you need to show somehow that getting with you is in her best interest and to her benefit; that’s how you get her to bed

Be more authenthic on the approach and make yourself more memorable if you're doing direct. If indirect, just express yourself naturslly and the roght audience will arrive in front of you eithout effort.
