No. No. No. That type of false accusation is very minimal and probably not worth worrying about. The vast majority of false rape accusations are situation where the girl honestly believes that she was raped despite the sex being consensual. This is because feminist (and politicians) have so bastardized the definition of "rape" that women now honestly believe that regret is rape.

The number of false accusations is what statisticians call a “dark number” -- that is, there is a true number, but it is unknown, and perhaps unknowable.

My money is on unknowable. It has basically been redefined as a thought crime. "I didn't consent." is what everything hinges on now.

My only real complaint was her passing comment that rape is something strong men mostly do to women... It didn't even fit her thesis, don't know why it was in there at all... But that's what comments are for. The thesis itself was still sound and well written.

If any issue deserves respectful, open-minded honesty and some f'ing nuance, it's this one.

Really enjoyed the article up until the end:

Rape is an especially heinous crime, and heinously unfair -- it is mostly something that stronger men do to weaker women. How can we pile on an extra dose of unfairness -- by failing to prosecute so many of the crimes?

For spending so long saying "we don't have accurate statistics" the article sure does get this statistic wrong.
