My wife is not the type to POST on web forums, but she will read this and the commentary for sure.

Short version: Roughly a month ago, my wife of 11 years found I had been reading MMSL and the various RP materials and forums. She was shocked and has become concerned that 'hanging out with those angry men' is changing my behavior for the worse. Additionally, her fear is that I'm planning on nexting her, which is not the case. I'm viewing MRP as a 'build a better husband' program. Historically I've been a natural alpha in attitude, and looking back on things, it's the beta/comforts that she claims to need more of that I'm lacking. I'm a work in progress.

Part of the journey has been her discovery of RPW and now RPWi. I want to fully understand the goals of this sub and the advice given as they may apply to my wife and marriage. I know the sexual strategies of men and women are in opposition, but within the borders of marriage the common goal is mutual happiness (or at least it should be). I realize I can only control my own actions, but if I can lead her to material that provides a REASONABLE (as defined by her) self improvement path for her, then it's my responsibility as the Captain to do so for the good of the ship and it's crew!

She has taken issue with the view that the prescription is to become a stepford wife. She read the first section of 'The Surrendered Wife' and was flabbergasted at the advice there. How do you reconcile RPW concepts without it becoming an exercise in self administered slavery? (never say no, no decisions of her own, no say in her own life, not entitled to thoughts, etc) Let's just say that she has used the phrase 'drinking the Kool-aid' a few times when talking about RPW and RPWi.

Anyone here with both spouses reading and running with RP concepts?

What about RP (male or female side) has bettered your marriage?
