You got two options. First is real life. Look your best and let the guys approach you. Put yourself in social situations where you can meet quality people, so no bars/clubs. Instead try an event at a nearby university, look for graduate student events where you're more likely to meet older guys (they are more likely to look for a relationship, I'm talking mid to late 20s here not 40 lol). Hell, if you read take your book and go to an univ library. You'll be approached if you're good looking enough and don't have the resting bitch face :)

The other option is okcupid, my last two LTR came from there, which is why I endorse it. It goes without saying that you should screen ppl no matter which approach you take, so you don't end up pumped and dumped. But you already seem to be doing a good job at loooking out for yourself so you're gtg.

I am 23, and met my SO when I was 18 and he was 19. He actually lived in the room directly above mine in my freshman dorm. My RA had actually warned the girls on my floor against dating the guys on the floor above because they were mostly sophomores. We ended up talking a bit in the halls, and one day he playfully stole my phone and put his number in it. I asked why I would need his number he said so I would know what number to use to confirm our date for later that week. After that first date I knew he was the man I wanted to marry. He got me with his confidence and having a plan.

I recommend going to a church maybe if you want to find a more redpill man. Put yourself in more social situations with adult males. You're prime material too if you play your cards right, in your prime and a virgin, congrats!

We met when I was about 11, he was my best friend's brother's friend (does that make sense?). We started dating when I was 14 and other than the 3 month break we had at 16 to think about if making college plans together was a good idea, we've been together since. We got married in April :)

We actually met on Reddit - different sub obviously. We dated long distance for a bit then I moved to be with him. I know a lot of Reddit can just be exasperating, but I really did find a great one here.

I have a small problem with depth perception. Perfect vision otherwise but I'm like that warning on the passenger side mirror of cars that reads "objects may be closer than they appear".

He was riding his bike and personally I think he was kind of sort of using up to much of the road and I accidentally sort of bumped the back wheel of his bike sending him flying into the blackberry bushes.

Maybe I was looking at his butt and this made me drift into his space but it is all a blur now. Plus they put oversized fenders on jeeps which makes judging distance from the fender difficult.

Well of course I had to stop, I mean he had a nice butt after all.

I was going to help him out of the black berry bushes but he was swearing so I kept my distance and just called out "Are you OK?"

I won't type his reply because this is Reddit and I'm sure words like that are not permitted on this site.

He was not scratched up to bad but he is no Briar Rabbit so there was blood. The bike was well.... not a bike anymore but more like abstract art. How blackberry bushes can do so much damage to a bike is beyond my understanding.

We are out in the middle of nowhere and I'm alone with a complete stranger but strangely he seemed more afraid of me than I of him.

We loaded his bike into the back of the jeep, well most of it anyway and I took him to the Mediclinic in town.

It was a very uncomfortable twenty minute drive to the clinic because he would not talk to me and I think he was growling but they were definitely non-human sounds.

First thing out of his mouth to all of the staff at the clinic is that I ran him over on his bike and "She's paying all of the medical bills". I tried to look remorseful and pathetic as possible but I got no sympathy from anyone. It is a very lonely experience to feel like everyone is against you. I think I suffered more than him.

Between the doctor bills and bike replacement it was a two thousand dollar boo boo. The day I presented him with his new bike he asked me out but he will not ride in the vehicle with me unless he drives. Me thinks he has major trust issues.

Six months later he is still in my life. I thought my two horses, three dogs, four hamsters and two cats along with friends that can be a bit eccentric would be to much but I guess bike riders are more resilient than your average human being.

He is a very tender lover and he smells nice to.

My husband and I met on an online game (World of Warcraft) where we were in the same guild and had a close friendship for many years before we admitted feelings for each other :) After that we met in person and had an LDR for a couple of months until I could move to his state.

I think that it's important that we were friends at first and worked together well in a teamwork environment. He was also in a leadership position in the guild above mine (guild master while I was an officer under him) so our RP relationship was an easy transition.

God I wish I had good advice, but honestly, we met by sheer chance on the internet, started talking, and realized we were amazing for each other. Not even a dating site or whatever, and we probably wouldn't have been interested in each other had we met in RL.

Slightly more helpful advice: if you're like me, sitting around waiting for the perfect man to swoop in and ask you out will drive you crazy. Be proactive. Like /u/pcadrian, I liked okcupid. If nothing else, it'll give you practice talking to guys, but the issue I had was too much choice. You know when you're in the store and there are 15 kinds of coke and you have no idea what to buy because you just came in for soda but now you have too many options and it's freaking you out? Online dating is like that except the soda is sometimes rude and is very pushy and mostly just wants to have sex with you. But it is my favorite site for that stuff, better than PoF and Tinder for sure.

Non-online places: if you're religious, join a church group. If not, join meet ups or community groups and volunteering. If you work in the kind of place this makes sense (case by case basis), date at work. Bars/clubs are a no go, but upscale happy hour where you have one cocktail right after work can sometimes allow you to meet decent men with jobs. Go to where your interests are--the library, the climbing gym, a hiking group, a wine tasting, whatever you're into. Then you already have something in common.

I was lucky, I've known my SO since school, he'd always expressed interest in me, but due to life we never really had a chance to date and explore a relationship, until about 18 months ago when he was finally able to court me and declared me as his fairly quickly. We're now starting a life together in a new country, have shared future plans, which involve marriage and children and I couldn't be happier.

On OKC, we had chatted and he was one of the many guys I was interested in dating but he never asked me for my number, so I went on depressing date after depressing date before I decided to take a break. After a month and a half off of OKC, I saw something that reminded me of our conversation, so I reactivated my profile and we chatted again. This time I said I would like to meet him, and I gave him a time and place that I would be studying. From the moment he walked in I knew I wanted him. It was the usual love at first sight story--time flies by, staring into each other's eyes like you can see their soul, never want to leave. He walked me to my jeep and I saw this huge lifted truck so I asked if it was his and when he said yes I knew he was just the kind of man I was searching for.

We barely touched on our first date, but he opened doors like a gentleman and somehow was able to open up my bitter heart to the possibility that I wasn't going to die alone. I opened another bottle of wine so he wouldn't leave my apartment, and we fell asleep while talking on my couch. Again, no physical contact. I kicked him out when I woke up at 630 AM because I said I wasn't that kind of girl, LOL!

And on date two he showed up with a dryer, which I needed desperately. He installed it, then fixed my garage door opener, then fixed my tv too. It was love.

Crazy that is was only nine months ago. I've dated a LOT (didn't sleep with them all, of course, but I'm a former slut from my much younger days when I didn't understand what "daddy issues" meant), and I'm so grateful that I didn't waste my time on guys that were just OK. I had broken up with a man that I never fought with, but who I just didn't believe in as a man. It was hard for me to do because I was afraid of being forever alone..but it was so worth it. In my singleness, I basically speed date. I line them up and knock em out and move on quick with an easy, "thank you for dinner, but I'm sorry I'm not interested. I hope you find what you're looking for!" When I met The One, I changed his name in my phone to The One immediately and canceled all of my other dates, despite the fact that we didn't have exclusivity. I just knew we would, sooner than later. Three weeks later we had the talk, and it's been the happiest time of my life ever since.

I did ask him why he didn't get my number sooner--he said it was against his personal "rule". He would never ask a girl for that info. I laughed because it was against my rule to ask a guy for his! We almost didn't meet at all.. but I just thought to myself, well what I'm doing hasn't worked so far--what do I have to lose?

I met him through greek rush week. He was in a fraternity (he's 2 years older), I was rushing the sororities. I basically stalked the shit out of him on campus until we started dating and made sure I was always working out when I knew him and his brothers would go to the field house for weights -- it's a cute story ;)

A couple of things to remember:

-You're already ahead of the game by trusting your instincts and not screwing around with losers.

-There's a world of difference between men and boys.

-There's a lot of growth to happen in the next five-ish years, especially with men.

-This is fun. Parts of it suck, are frustrating, are confusing, and people complain about it all the time. But it really is a lot of fun if you're doing it right. If it's not fun, you're not doing it right.

I met mine at a bar in Austin, called The Library, The first Saturday of my freshman year in college. I was the designated sober for my group of friends, and he was the same for his soldiers (he was in the military at the time). That said, we were good friends for several years before we started dating. I admired him from a distance, but did not think I had a chance at all of being his girl. I am still sometimes shocked that someone like me was chosen by someone as beautiful as him.
