From the comments:

Feminists telling gorgeous young girls to "Focus on your career and just have fun" in their most fertile, beautiful years is akin to a financial planner telling a businessman client who just had a financial windfall, "Now take all your winnings and fly to Vegas and just have fun." It is not merely bad advice, it is toxic and malicious advice.

Perfect analogy.

[–]1PaulRivers10 89 points90 points91 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Haha, that's hilarious, but I think it ignores the important "eliminate the competition" aspect of this.

What does the aging feminist want? She wants a successful man her age or older.

What does the successful man her age or older want? The gorgeous young girl. And he's often delighted to sleep with her, marry her - but marrying her so takes him off the market completely from being available for the aging feminist.

How can the aging feminist remove the gorgeous young girl from market? Convince her that she should just "have fun" sleeping around with the alpha top 10% in her high school and college. The aging feminist has no interest (or availability) with that group anyways.

Thus the successful man her age or older finds that the market he's most interested in - the gorgeous young girls - are not available to him to take him off the market. They might be sleeping with him, but shortly they'll move on and sleep with someone else.

The only market left is - the same group the aging feminist is part of.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. Just because I can't have the kitten, doesn't mean I'll want the cat.

[–]1PaulRivers10 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If I wanted to write all the thoughts I had back, I'd have to write an essay, lol. I didn't say it would make you want something you don't want though - that's not the idea.

When I bike commute (which is only occassionally), I ride a cheaper bike than my favorite bike. I "settle" for a bike I don't like quite as much, because I don't want to have to worry about it being stolen. I'm certainly not riding a piece of crap that I hate around or anything, but it's not my #1 favorite bike either.

Let's say we had cloning technology and I cloned a girl. Who would I rather date and try to get married to:

1 - the attractive 21 year year old who's banging 3 different guys (this week or this month), completely self absorbed, and incapable of being trusted or forming a bond with her boyfriend at all?

2 - Or her clone - only while her clone has exactly the same looks and genetics, is also 21, but has had only 2 boyfriends before that, is trustworthy, and actually enjoys being in a relationship with me?

When girl #1 hits the wall, after years of riding the cock carousel, she's terrified of girl #2 taking the guys her age and marrying them. She can't stop them from being available to the guy altogether, the best she can do is convince them that being girl #1 - greatly reducing or eliminating their relationship value.

If all attractive girls "concentrate on school" and either don't date, or only date guys who are uninterested in relationships throughout school, there's plenty of guys left over when they graduate, get a job, and want to settle down.

However, if only half the attractive girls do that, but the other half get married, at least half the attractive guys are gone by the time the "career girl" gets around to being interested in settling down.

Then there's also just the bitter motivation "if I can't have this, no one else can either!" and the sunken cost motivation "I want to feel good about my choices, even if they were stupid, and I can if I can just convince everyone else to do exactly the same things!".

Aaaaand...I wrote an essay after all, lol.

Haha, yeah...

[–]garlicextract 23 points24 points25 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Exactly. The craziest thing is, combine what this article is saying with this comment, and it's truly shocking. Young, fertile women get huge benefits in society, whether it be discounts/free admission/free drinks/some guy offers his seat/helps her with ANYTHING she needs academically/physically etc...

And we know this just vanishes once women hit a certain age.

And we know that it's fucking difficult to raise a child.

Now you tell me, would it be easier to raise a child as an older, "invisible" woman, who has to do everything herself, and doesn't get any YoungVagina Club perks and benefits? Or would it be easier to raise the child as a proud, card-carrying member of the Club? Wouldn't the latter be hugely beneficial to the woman's happiness, which means also the husband's happiness, and importantly, the happiness of the child?

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That comment hit me pretty hard too. Came back to make sure it was posted and it's #1. Excellent analogy.

[–]Philosophic_fellatio -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As much as these years are the most fertile years of woman, they are also the years in which learning comes the easiest. Pick and choose your priorities. Woman often use this fertility value to improve their standings in things that will matter later on in life (steady income, more intelligence, etc)

whats wrong with this is, to me, his assumption that the only reason to reveal one's femininity online is to restore "girl powers". What if there is a question (about sex, relationships, etc) that would benefit from a woman's perspective, and would only be valid from a woman's point of view?

Men will always appreciate, women depreciate. It's why marriage is such a bad deal, the depreciating asset can leave and take all the current and future assets and money of the appreciating asset. This heavily discourages the appreciating asset to work nearly as hard, creating burdens on the economy. Also when men know they don't have to have the good job to fuck young women, this creates a downward spiral on the economy where men are strongly disincentivized.

[–]TRP VanguardJP_Whoregan 70 points71 points72 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

This is precisely why child support should be based on the needs of the child, and NOT the father's capacity to earn. It is estimated that around 30% of all men in this country are paying child support to an ex wife or baby momma for a bastard child that he (may or may not have) sired.

So that means almost 30% of men in America are INTENTIONALLY trying not to earn more income, because they know if they work harder and earn more, that means heading back to court to have more of his money confiscated by the family court system. This is extremely bad for the economy as a whole, and if child support is not reformed, it will only get worse, and the economy will continue to stagnate.

Quick anecdote: I just wrote an insurance policy for a 32 year old guy who just divorced his wife. He works for his family drywall business. He intentionally had his father reduce his pay rate because if his ex-wife finds out he's earning even a penny more than $10/hour, she can sue him for a 25% increase in his CS payments. So if he works harder and earns more, he will actually take home LESS MONEY for himself mathematically, after his ex's baby-lottery payments get jacked up. Stories like this are everywhere.

[–]TRP VanguardJP_Whoregan 43 points44 points45 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's exactly what he's doing. The business "bought" his house, so now the business is paying his mortgage and utility bills. This way he can continue his lifestyle on artificially deflated "income". Lucky for him it's a family run business, most men are not that fortunate.

[–]1neveragoodtime 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The entire idea that an ex wife receives more child support as the man makes more money is preposterous. Sure while married, she puts food on the table so he can work late, but after divorce, every dollar more he makes is by his own effort. Why does she expect a share of it? It needs to be set at the divorce, and capped at that amount. Throw out all the baby momma lawsuits looking for more money.

[–]TRP Vanguardss_camaro 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

ChildExtort is a criminal racket.

Fathers getting primary custody 95% of the time would eliminate the incentives behind this malevolent scheme.

[–]rico_montoya 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What happens when gays start getting married and divorces? One hopes that might correct this bullshit, not that any wise man should leave his personal income's fate in the hands of civil servants.

[–]cooledcannon 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is precisely why child support should be based on the needs of the child

That would only be possible if you handed money directly to the child instead of an intermediary.

And also its still immoral to be forced to pay child support if you dont have custody. And its immoral to be forced to have custody.

No man would put on a tuxedo, tuck a copy of Bride magazine under his arm, and flirt with a group of unattractive, overweight 34-year-old women. We would see the cruelty in it. But a young pretty girl may have no qualms about teasing the men she encounters by pretending to offer up what they want.

I'd love to see how the hamsters escape this one. Society would crucify this man.

Idk about that. Have you ever been in a situation where you could have had sex with a woman, just by throwing out little hints of being interested in commitment even though you weren't? Do you know guys that do that sort of thing?

I was once friends with an older woman who was a model. She'd modeled when she was younger and still got work as a model even though she was 60 years old. She told me about an interesting conversation between herself and an acquaintance of hers.

This acquaintance was, I think, approaching 50 years old and had to move out of her nice apartment in a nice area and move into a dump in a shit area of town. Why did she have to move? Because she didn't work much and her older boyfriend got tired of paying her rent now that she was really turning into an old bag. This woman was literally weeping and wailing to my friend, "Men used to send me drinks at bars! Men used to pay attention to me! Complete strangers would buy me dinners. Men would buy my clothes. Now, they don't pay attention to me. Sob, sob...."

I knew this acquaintance and, to me, she was never anything but entitled and cold. So when my friend told me about this, I got a kick out of it. At the same time, I still felt a little sorry for her.

It was totally amazing to me that a woman could not be aware of and understand her declining SMV especially when her financial existence depended on it! How the fuck could anyone be so clueless? Did she really think the long line of slobbering male servants would be there forever?

She traded on her looks and her pussy the way men depend on their law degree or their contractor's license. When her looks expired, she felt like she'd gotten robbed or ripped off.

It was also interesting hearing this story from my older lady friend because it obviously hit home for her. The ultimate horror story.

Attractive women should look at what Gisele Bundchen did with her life as a role model. Gisele made decent money as a model during her prime years, but she made investments into real estate and her own clothing line. She arranged for royalty contracts or equity stakes in brands that she endorsed. Basically, she recognized that a modeling career is short, so she was very aggressive in realizing that value and locking it in for the long run. Now she is worth hundreds of millions and is easily on track to be a billionaire if she gets an average rate of return. Also, she married NFL superstar Tom Brady (who is also a ridiculously good looking man, easily one of the top men in society) and started having kids in her late 20s. Most other models are trying to squeeze whatever monetary value or "fun" they can out of the last few years instead of locking down a top alpha male and have kids before fertility runs out.

Of course, not every hot girl is Gisele, she is the best of the best. But the lesson can still be learned. Society gifts attractive young women with a lot of value early in life. And a basic concept in finance is time value, you rather have the value/money earlier than later, because you can start investing and compounding it. Ordinary hot girls cannot get large modeling contracts and then get royalty/equity stakes in fashion products. But they can make very valuable investments too. They get huge support in the education system, which can catapult them into highly ranked colleges where they also enjoy far more scholarships than men. The highest social circles open their doors for attractive young women, getting in there is extremely profitable in the long run. And for early careers, attractive women easily get the jobs and the fast track up too. It is extremely easy to marry up.

An attractive lower-middle class girl will get acceptance into the middle-upper class simply because she is attractive. The doors are wide open for her to move around any social circle. Instead of wasting time being a drunk bar slut, she should simply walk into the social circles of current/future doctors, lawyers, bankers, Ivy League grads, etc and ingrain herself into that part of society.

I know a woman who got a job as an admin at a hedge fund because she was young and attractive. The job is easy and many people can do it, so it's no surprise that new hires tend to be young and attractive. The pay is ridiculously good because of the industry. And after a few years, she established rapport with everybody at the firm and most of the high networth clients. It doesn't matter that she started aging and looking less attractive, she was part of that society now. Clients with hundreds of millions of dollars in networth knew her by name, so her job was secure. The compensation per unit of effort for her job was great. And she ended up marrying some hedge fund analyst. If an attractive woman plays her cards right, she can simply walk into the upper class even though she has average skill and intelligence.

Men who want to move up on society have to have the talent to get up there. And even if they have the talent and skill, they might not get a chance to step on the playing field if they come from a low socio-economic background.

Since we're picking nits:

None of us care one iota about your cheer, your spirit, or your acrobatics.

Not true. A cheerful, energetic personality makes a woman more attractive. If a girl is a grumpy goth

Given that the whole subject of that section was high school cheerleaders, dismissing those as traits every member of the group share is a valid rhetorical device. I mean, how many goth cheerleaders are there outside of Nirvana videos and suicidegirls?

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

But yeah, an 8+/10 woman aged 18-28 could rule the world if she weren't so self-absorbed and a slave to biology.

They can and have. Wars have been fought over such women.

I take exception to the Cheerleader arguments - and well, the whole article portends to make a point, but it really just relays some of this guy's observations. I just hasten to point that out.

I really struggle to get worked up by young girls. I'm in my mid-30s, and man they're just so fucking young. It doesn't interest me. As someone who has nieces who are high school cheer leaders, it disturbs me to think I might be the only asshole in the stands not dreaming of jamming my throbbing cock in to one of those teenage girls.

And who else knows plenty of women over the age of 45 who you'd bang? My field has kind of lead me down a road where I deal with women 80% of the time, and a majority of them are over 45. And damn, some of these women are intensely, super-fine and a good number of them are worth going home with for a night for sure.

That said, it's been my post-divorce experience that the golden rule of half your age plus seven is a nearly flawless formula. Of course everyone's in to different shit and ymmv i guess.

But yes, i think we all agree - the whole world agrees that young, pretty women get the run of the place.

This one either has a loving husband (which is a possibility).... or the hamster is running so fast it's going to have a heart attack.

It's been a positive transition entirely. Women are told that as soon as their late twenties hit, they are spent. They lack the glow and luster of youth, they will be pushed aside and they need to accept it. I turned thirty and suddenly, I was being taken seriously. I wasn't being patted and coddled and asked to discuss it over drinks. No one tells me how cute I am. I am respected for my intellect, my work ethic, my humor, and my skills. I am confident and sexy and wouldn't trade any of it for the perfect skin and hair I had at 22. After all, it's nothing a little moisturizer and kale can't fix. My opinion is that we put too much importance on youth = beauty. For myself, it did not. I know that I am more beautiful now.

Great post from ROK, and harkens a Black Phillip Principle:

"You think I bought this shiny coat cause I like the way it looks, nigga?

Attractive women are like celebrities. As soon as they walk down he street someone would be harassing them or oogling them from a distance; they got a lot of attention. In turn they act like they're celebrities: sunglasses on, iPod in ear, 'don't talk to me attitude.'

A man has to be something of worth just to be on that same level as an Attractive woman."

While Patrice speaks the truth, our readers must be careful not to take this too literal and actually start believing that they ain't worth shit. It's fine to admit that women have high (perceived) value just because they're hot, but it'd be wrong for men to walk around with a self-defeating attitude that they gotta be millionaires to be on that level. I walk around my city thinking I'm better than all these girls, and it does me wonders.

Good call. I was mentally distancing myself for a second, but you've reeled me back in.

Perceived value, indeed.

This Article is Gold. Young men, in particular, need to digest it. It encapsulates all those dirty little truths no one is allowed to say in polite society. Pre-Internet era, it would have been unlikely to have been scribed, and even less likely to have been published. We are fortunate to live in the Digital Era.

Man, at 26, I'm starting to see this hit hard. I lurk on the Facebook profiles of women who add me and am shocked to see how much they've aged from late teens to late 20s.

I'm actually looking date (but not marry), not just hookup. The sad part is, the yuppie women in their late 20s who are starting to be very interested in me with my interesting life and budding RP ways, keep pulling the "I'm too busy to date with my wonderful busy exciting career" card; I next 'em, and then they wonder where I went.

Telling women to adopt such a self-centered attitude not only stops women from putting in any effort dating, but actively keeps desirable men away. Why are they shocked when desirable men opt for casual sex over being alone or putting in an incredible amount of effort to build a relationship?

Time magazine conducted a survey in 2009 of 205 never-married single women. One question asked, "If you couldn't find the perfect mate, would you marry someone else?" Only 34% of these women replied that they would choose to marry a less than perfect spouse.

[–]through_a_ways 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

80% of men are "below average", and 66% of women are unwilling to settle for anything other than the top 20% of men. The remaining 34% are probably willing to stoop down to the 70th percentile of men, but no further.

If polygamy ever becomes widespread, ooh boy, we're going to become Afghanistan.

This was a great read, spot on.

Something I don't like about this view is how it portrays me as a sex-crazed pig.

I'm very affected by the presence of an attractive girl around me, but I don't immediately think of anally penetrating her then cumming on her face or masturbating to my visual memory of her furiously later.

Did you know that I actually like affection and being emotionally connected to a girl? I know I know, it doesn't work (not for me at least), girls don't like a man being emotional/sensitive/vulnerable. I really know that from experience and I don't do that anymore, but my point is that I'm not a sex-crazed motherfucker with no soul. In fact, I would say I'm more (internally) emotional/romantic/idealistic than most girls, but the ugly reality doesn't allow me to show that, lest I get abused by the girl.

You give a man the the ten years of your youth and in return he'll support you for the next forty.

This is such misogynistic rape-speak. You're supposed to accept a girl when she's ready for you and love her for who she is, whether she's 30 or 40. Shitlord.

[–]RobbenQC 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Rape speak" - I really hope the feminists start using that one. I won't be able to keep a straight face.

[–]1Zackcid 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Aaaaarrrghh "rape-speak" I'm stealing this hilarious shit!

[–]Motherbrainzebes12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Rape speak? L Zero L. No man HAS to accept a woman when SHE'S ready for him, that's absolutely absurd. We are not here to subsidize your wild and reckless life style. If a woman doesn't want to commit to a relationship when she's young, a man has no obligation to do so after she has passed her prime. Men continue to appreciate in market value, and there are many a young beautiful woman who are smart, charming, and intellectual that are willing to settle down. The bitter hag has wasted and squandered her youth, and has no one to blame but herself.

Edit: Just realized that this is satire. Poe's law at work.

Did that really go that far over your head?

[–]Rebal771 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It would have gone over mine, but the "rape-speak" part had me so confused/bewildered at how this person slipped through the cracks and got upvoted.

This section has taught me a lot about thinking for myself...and I seemed to pass this satirical shit test. I feel like I've leveled up or something.

Seriously...Thanks. Everyone.

Great comment on why your activities in life should be about bettering YOU and making yourself happy:

Nature offers us human beings some interesting dynamics in our attractions to each other.

While women between ages 15 - 30 (unless fat) will generally not experience any sexual frustration, they will certainly feel the sting of not being able to lock down a truly attractive alpha man. Women are not happy to settle, they make a front like they are happy but are actually eaten away at the soul.

The ONLY way to win 'girl world' is not to become a lawyer, not to marry some schlub, not to become the best feminist possible but it's to lock down a rich, genuine, commitment minded ALPHA man and have KIDS.

I think it's overall easier for a man to grow happier than it is for a woman.

This blog indirectly explains the existence of "extreme couponing."

[–]garlicextract 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Could you elaborate please, not familiar with the term.

[–]Endorsed ContributorLastRevision 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

"Extreme couponing" is where you amass a tremendous amount of coupons, follow every local supermarket's weekly in-store sale items, and coordinate it in such a way where you end up with something like 400 boxes of pasta for free. Extreme couponers spend a tremendous amount of time and effort doing this for anything they can make the system work with, and end up with a stock pile of supermarket items they will likely never use.

There is a reality show on TLC where you follow couponers on a "haul" when they get their 400 boxes of pasta for free.

Non-twist: They're mostly women in their forties.

They all describe couponing as a "rush" that makes them "feel good" and "happy."

Hmm... I wonder what made them feel good before couponing...

[–]garlicextract 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah thanks, I'm actually well aware of this behavior haha. I had thought it was a euphemism for something relationship/sexual related like "spinning plates". That does indeed shed some light on the behavior, interesting.

Women like to consume.

It's amazing to see a powerfully attractive young woman with her dumpy mother who probably hasn't turned a head in 10 years. Good reminder that their SMV doesn't last forever.

[–]vaker 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Back in the day when I was a wee lad older folks used to say 'look at the mother and marry the daughter'. This basically says that the young girl will look like her mother soon, think twice whether she's worth marrying.

this is a great article.

This article reminded me of a particular CollegeHumor video:

POV : Really Hot Girl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJNXCpfDrNo

It's a pretty funny take on the warped reality attractive girls live in. They essentially live in another world due to the omnipresent barrage of supplicating men. I can only imagine the shock these women have when their looks start to fade. Must be earth-shattering.

[–]Fundumpsters 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No man would put on a tuxedo, tuck a copy of Bride magazine under his arm, and flirt with a group of unattractive, overweight 34-year-old women. We would see the cruelty in it.

Tempted to try this on hot chicks....
