Who gives a shit. One guy's 4 is another guy's 8 anyways.

It's a bit crass if it's the only thing you can comment about I guess but literally none of my business or problem.

We used to joke with a rating system when I was in... Junior high? High school? But as I grew up.... Nobody in my female circles really talked like that.

I don't mind it, but the fellas need to have more consistency with it. On one hand, some dudes throw out 8's 9's and 10's like ones at a strip club. On the other, you get dudes that rate almost every girl as a 5 or a 6, because they compare IRL females to celebrities. You gotta have a hollywood scale and the normal people scale.

I STUDY attractiveness. I used to want to model when I was younger, but turned out to be short as fuck, so I started studying models and fashion from afar. A high fashion 10 is not a Sports Illustrated 10. Your girl nextdoor 10 is not a Hollywood 10. To compare a girl who's probably an 8 or a 9 in a normal environment to some actress like Gal Gadot, whos like a hollywood 9, is fucked up. That's how you get that meme of the neckbeard rating hot girls as a 2 or 3.

I don't rate men out of 10. I have guys who I'm into and guys I'm not.

Is the rating system like in figure skating where somebody has to die before the new people can move up or like an expensive liberal arts college where an "A" is the same as a "C" ?

I'm sure it's ultimately detrimental if they consciously try to rate all the women they see with all the women they've seen thus far in movies and IRL alike. I imagine that leads to lower satisfaction romantically and sexually.

I had a guy friend in high school who came to me at one point agonizing over two girls who had both asked him to prom - a 'six' and a 'seven', though he knew the girl that he described as a 'six' better.
