Most romance in stories is unhealthy. Normal, healthy romance is very hard to make interesting, because by its very nature it's supposed to solve contention with a minimum of trouble.

In real-life, contention is bad for relationships. In story-telling, contention tends to be necessary.

Pretty much every relationship that plays a major role in the plot. It's an easy way to create tension and/or play into a wish fulfillment fantasy for the reader while disregarding how unrealistic or harmful it would be irl. Healthy relationships tend to thrive on stability so they're not very exciting to read or write about. At best they might be used as a plot device to be the goal the protagonist keeps chasing (while some bullshit drama keeps them apart) but in that case the story usually ends when they get together without actually portraying their relationship at all.

Jack and Rose from Titanic. WITHIN 3 DAYS, she cheated on her fiance Kal with this guy who helped save her life, was willing to throw away everything to be with him, he ends up dying anyway, she remarries a few years later, and apparently loved him more than her current husband DECADES later.

all from a dick she rode in 1912. amazing.

It would take less time to find some healthy ones just because there are so goddamn few to pick from lol. Eddard Stark and Caitlin Stark are a great one. So is Rob's relationship with his wife. The relationship between Superman and Lois Lane as portrayed in modern comics and cinema is a healthy one. Tony Stark and Pepper Potts likewise grow to have what looks like a great relationship for the most part, excepting Tony's PTSD (I HAVE TO PUT THE NANOBOTS IN MY CHEST PEPPER ITS TO KEEP US SAFE)

My favorite flagship awful relationship though is Jacob Black and Bella Swan from Twilight.

Everyone focuses on how controlling edward cullen is because he allows his anxiety to affect his decisions and make him controlling. Jacob black is openly manipulative and emotionally abusive towards Bella. He is cruel, creates situations where she blames herself (to be fair, that is also her neurosis) for his decisions and self inflicted pain, and lashes out at other people because of his resentment towards not getting the girl he wants. He's the most toxic non villain character in the series and Meyer still wrote Bella as falling in love with him. Everyone who wore a team jacob shirt was an idiot who thought they were rooting for the underdog but who were actually normalizing nice guy behavior and emotional abuse. The entire series is such garbage but that character is the actual worst.
