These are some examples (among many) of the staggering complexity that various TRP ideas may fail to capture.
Look at a bunch of /r/askTRP advice about how to game girls, what to say, and how to run kino.
Note that every single piece of advice must be specific to
-
(1) context (the venue, etc.)
-
(2) who you are (your looks, etc.)
-
(3) who she is (her unique history/tastes/personality, etc.).
You can't ask Chad for advice because he'll say, "Just be yourself, bro. It works for me!"
You also can't simply observe Chad's forward/aggressive kino because what works for him will be creepy/unwelcome if you try it.
Things like the DiCarlo Escalation-Ladder try to emulate Chad's kino, but it won't work, because:
-
(A) Chad does it naturally
-
(B) Chad has a different body
-
(C) Chad has a different personality/smoothness/confidence.
The people who go online and read about the DiCarlo Escalation Ladder are by definition not Chad, and therefore doomed to be unwelcome/creepy in their kino.
Also, what's cute for one girl may be creepy for another.
There are a million variables, including the girl's mood.
The venue is huge too:
-
you wouldn't run aggressive kino in a Starbucks
-
something cute might work in a Starbucks that would come across as try-hard/desperate/creepy in a nightclub (because in a club they know you're out for pussy so there's a totally different psychological context than in a Starbucks)
Your physical attractiveness is the overwhelmingly important factor in how you should run game (like kino).
However, it's also obvious that different women like different levels of forwardness/aggressiveness even assuming the dude is hot.
There is an idea in game that you need to sexualize/"polarize" (not sure if I got that term right) the interaction from the get-go in order to establish the right psychological context for the interaction. You want it to be a "man-woman interaction" from the get-go. You should never declare your sexual intent verbally, but rather subcommunicate it...for example, you should shake her hand in the "man-woman" way like you're dancing rather than in the business-like grip that establishes a non-sexual context. Or you should raise your eyebrow when she says something sexual or that could be interpreted as innuendo, for example. I don't know. But the point is that you need to establish this context from the get-go.
The logic behind this is that women put men either in the "friend" box or the "sexual" box from the get-go, and if she puts you in the "friend" box then you're game is pretty much fucked.
I asked my sister about this, and she said that it's totally false. Women don't sort men into a "friend" or "sexual" box when they meet them. Many women will meet a man without any sexual charge/energy/context to the interaction, and then become sexually attracted to him as she gets to know him better and as learns more about him. My sister never met her LTR in a sexual way; she was actually more interested in his friend and then as she got to know him better her attraction toward him grew and she stopped viewing his friend in a sexual way and started viewing him in a sexual way.
So the claim is that (1) there aren't just two boxes (that's too simplistic) and (2) men can move between "boxes" as the woman spends more time with him.
To sum up, here are some of the complexities that potentially undermine the usefulness of "game" advice:
-
the specificity of context, of who you are, and of who she is
-
the way in which kino is impossible to emulate because Chad does it naturally, has a different body, has different personality/smoothness/confidence
-
women have varying tastes about "creepy" vs. "cute"
-
mood must be considered
-
venue must be considered (Starbucks vs. nightclub)
-
women like different levels of forwardness/aggressiveness
-
the whole "polarize from the get-go" thing might be based on a false premise that there are two "boxes" that women irrevocably sort men into from the get-go...maybe there are many boxes and maybe men are be able to move between them
