1: What "weapons" do men have in their "sexual arsenal?"

2: And isn't it a bit unfair how women have more "weapons" in their "sexual arsenal?"

I was talking with some people on this interesting thread.

The question was, "Guys, do knee-high boots or thigh-high boots drive you crazy?"

One interesting response mentioned the balance that you have to uphold between provocative and classy:

I don't give a fuck about the boots themselves. What I do give a fuck about is the teasing band of thigh between skirt and boot. Same reason that stockings and high socks do it for me. If done classily, THAT is shit that I just cannot ignore.

But another comment was very interesting/insightful:

Absolutely. But bear in mind the effect that they are designed to have: to draw attention to that part of the body. They are designed to make men look at you from the ground up, so there's no point wearing them unless you want to advertise your lack of clothing elsewhere. A short skirt and revealing top are the best combo. It confuses the male brain and we tend to get overwhelmed about where we are supposed to be looking. Knee-highs (boots/socks) are the shock-troopers of sexuality. As you said, guys can't keep their eyes off them.

Yet another weapon in the arsenal of women.

Wear them with a short skirt and tight top and watch men drool and walk into lamp posts.

Women have been 'peacocking' for centuries before men ever thought of the term. You are merely drawing attention to your better assets. If you have good legs, boots are a way to get men to look at them. Then they will continue to raise their gaze upwards.

'Combo' is the right term. So, after the novel boots, they will see you fine legs highlighted by your short skirt, then they will see your upper body flattered by a tight top, and lastly your face and hair which you have done up for the occasion. It's like a boxer's combination punch: Legs: Pow! Hips: Pow!, Upper body: Pow! Face and hair: Pow!

Men are accustomed to the 'Face, boobs, legs' routine. By wearing boots, you throw them off their routine and they become dissonant. It's the same effect as big boobs and lots of cleavage, we're looking first at what we're accustomed to looking at second - it's confusing, we're out of synch.

For women, other weapons abound. Men are predominantly aggressors in the mating game, if you intrude upon our space (figuratively) that's another weapon - standing nearer than normal while wearing an alluring scent, talking in a low voice, brushing our arms/legs - anything which disrupts our established patterns makes us vulnerable, and you, special.

I asked about which weapons men have in their arsenal and this was the response:

Men's weapons - the 'rolling gait' - walking with your shoulders and head held high (not like a Guido - but with confidence), talking to the less attractive women while ignoring the attractive ones - it drives them crazy, rocking a slight grin (from the eyes, not mouth) - 'What's he smiling about? Is it in his pants?' Walking through a crowd without acknowledging the Alpha males or the attractive women - the ultimate in confidence - it says 'I know something you don't.' and makes men unsure of themselves and women want to prove that they're attractive. Not commenting on a woman's appearance - it shows that you're accustomed to beautiful women and she needs to work to get your attention. There are more.
