Women with no male friends: blessing, or red flag?

While I'll give you that somewhere on Earth there's a well adjusted person who just happens to have no opposite-gender friends, I do think it's a red flag.

Most healthy people pick their friends based on things like shared interests and senses of humor, ability to get along, etc. Not what's between their legs.

EDIT: Also, having no friends of their own gender is a huge red flag. Especially if they're proud of it (e.g., "I'm not a girls' girl!")

Completely normal, probably more common than women with male friends (we're talking people she'll go out of her way to hang out with, not random acquaintances at work who she'll drink with in a group every 3 months).

On a standalone basis, male friends (or lack of thereof) for a female do not mean anything.

Edit: this topic is near-worthless unless people define "friend."

My wife has very few friends in general and almost no female friends (Less than 5).

Other than it being a signifier of her introversion and sometimes inconvenient for my social schedule, no big worries here.

Depends on her age and if she's in a relationship or not and what her work requires.

Usually it's good. If a woman has a bunch of male friends for networking and work purposes that's acceptable but not ideal really.

A younger woman should have more male friends to help her find a man.

A woman in a relationship doesn't need male friends and shouldn't need male attention from beyond her man for the most part, family being the exception, as well as the above mentioned work situation.

It's not necessarily a red flag in and of itself. For attractive women, the inability to cut off these "friends" shows an unwillingness to enter into respectable relationships with one man. Often these "friendships" are simply to boost her ego and nothing more. But some women are self-aware enough to recognize they are simply using these men for validation and ego boosting. Seeking sexual validation outside of your relationship is disrespectful. The female sexuality version of this is allowing multiple men to proposition you often via snapchat. The male version of this is flirting successfully with other women. Both are disrespectful in a relationship. It is my belief the vast majority of attractive women today are unwilling to sacrifice the easy validation of social media and are therefore unable to enter into respectful relationships.

I'm going to write an OP about this soon. But ask a young attractive woman to block all men on snapchat and see how quickly she loses interest in the app lol I commend social media software programmers on exploiting and capitalizing on female sexuality to engineer incredibly successful apps and I similarly commend video game programmers on exploiting and capitalizing on male sexuality by appealing to the aggression and competitiveness innate in men.

It depends on the context.

In my experience, I've seen plenty of "not so good" people with friends. People are different around different people, and not everyone is as privileged to witnessing the "not so good" side of those people as others are.

Anyone and everyone can be a potential trap ready to be sprung on an unsuspecting person, so to say that a person with no friends can solely be good or bad is a false assumption.

It is mostly normal. Most women don't have close male friends, the same is true for men (who tend not to have close female friends).

You could argue that I am a TRPer, I know a decent amount of the ideology. Here we are being metaphorically an asshole. All girls that only have male friends are NOT all crazy. However many of certain types of manipulative girls have only male friends. If you do not have much experience with people, you should be careful with them.

When I overhear random young women talking, it's usually to trash one of her friends who's not present to defend herself.

The only exceptions I know are introverted women, and they hardly talk at all.

What's a girl to do if she wants to have friendships with outgoing people who don't talk trash about her behind her back, and she can't find any women who fit the bill?
