There literally isn't a woman hot enough for me to date her despite being a Trump supporter. At best I'd go for a really angry and violent (consensual) hate-fuck.

So yeah, political and social views are definitely a factor in determining whether someone is a potential partner. For some this is more important than for others obviously.

I can't think of any examples of someone who feels really strongly about politics knowingly dating their ideological opposite. well actually I know one couple, but she's conservative and hes liberal and they don't take their politics too seriously. but yeah hooking up with, sure, but dating? those couples are few and far between. plus, progressives and Trump supporters tend to be divided along rural/urban and educational lines. they don't encounter each other as often as you think, most people exist in political bubbles.

you know, you do have to like each other as people to make a relationship work. there's more to it than initial attraction.

You'd be surprised how many women can and will reject a guy for whatever reason.

There are girls who turn down famous musicians and actors just so they can tell their friends that they did that. Image is so important for women, and doubly so for politically-minded lefty women.

I would not date a RP guy or a hardcore trumper, but I'd date a moderate republican if he and I were compatible in other ways.

I don't think that political ideology is unattractive by itself. However, political ideology depends on many traits that might be attractive for women or not. I wouldn't reject an RP guy for saying he's RP, but if he might behave in a certain way that I don't like or that I find incompatible. That said, i don't think a liberal woman will reject a Trump supporter for being a Trump supporter, but they might be too different for a relationship to work.

Well, I have turned down very attractive men before because their politics were incompatible with mine, but some women really dont care. It's not a hard and fast rule or a major gender issue and you really don't have to try to make it into one.
