Yep, he was my boss. He was considered a misogynistic man.

He'd only hire women because he thought that male nurses made women go hysterical, he'd second guess everything and was very strict.

He considered women emotionally immature and dealer with that by not mixing them with men as he said that lowered the quality of assistance.

He didn't have preferences for anyone except who actually worked well and I liked it because humor and good looks didn't get you free passes with him.

He was rude and abrasive but very kind if you were hard working.

I'd rather deal with a misogynist than someone who has no balls

I've never met a guy like that, I have met a couple of women though. And I know infinitely more guys than women.

Maybe two or three guys who got cheated on displayed those characteristics (to a superlative degree) for a period of time, but then again they only got sympathy from me. I don't know if that really qualifies.

I guess male misogyny (by the provided definition at least) isn't really a thing.

However, I have met plenty of manspreading misogynists I must say

Several of them and they were angry, bitter, and full of vitriol. Some had every single interaction clouded with it towards me. How did I respond? By being a super bitch and yelling of course ;)

Yea all the time at parties. I usually mock them with others while they fume.

Also, cat - calling is misogyny and my personal favorite to deal with. If Im walking with a girl or group of girls who get cat called I answer the cat call.

So if some guy screams "Nice ass" ill act as if he was talking to me and thank him and tell him I've been going to the gym a lot. Usually the cat callers get extremely offended and homophobic. Girls always think its hilarious.

Aye, plenty, mostly growing up when I didn't have many resources to challenge it. These days it's just a matter of going 'why do you think that?'/ subtle or not so subtle insults pointing out that they're just as bad for whatever trait they're criticizing the women for again and again as they get more and more frustrated. Mostly the person just storms off/ changes the subject, though there was one incident where someone called my cousin a slut after a while of badgering and my brother kicked the shit out of him until we got kicked out of the smoking area.

As cat-calling has an intimidation angle a lot of the time. 'Hey lady, you're real pretty' is probably just a moron with the social graces of a tapeworm who has no real ill intentions, but 'I'd like to fuck you 'til you squeal' or similar is someone who's taking pleasure in the woman's discomfort.

No, I don't think so. I had a teacher that was a huge sexist, but I don't think he hated women. Even my ex who was a PUA didn't hate women, actually most of his friends were women.

No, not really. I have known lots of sexist people, but I wouldn't say of any of them that they were misogynists.

Ironically however, I have met an misandrist, my Great-Grandmother hated men. Like, she would either blame everything on men, or completely disregard your existence.

There was a guy I went to high school with who was like that. I mostly ignored him, but some of the kids would engage him and rile him up, and then make fun of him behind his back. There was a lot of "If Bob hates women so much he should just go gay lolololol."
