The problem with discussing feminism is that is such an undefined topic that can mean way too much. I believe it makes much more sense to discuss the specific topic within feminism that you agree with, without mentioning the word feminism.

I make it a point to only attack talking points supported by widespread, academic and institutional feminism. Lucky for me it's like shooting fish in a barrel with how many crazy ideas they espouse that are upheld by the common public

The issue with proclamations like this is that most feminists won't accept nuances, in the sense your either a full feminist or you hate women.

Good Godwin, I can discuss the merits of citizenship requirements for public office or old-age pension, or socialized medicine without getting all "nuanced" while referencing the Nazi Party 1920 policy platform.

Maybe, somewhere, in there, feminism has a point (hell, a stopped clock is right twice a day), but why not discuss that point on its merit rather than cloaking yourself in the mantle of feminism and trying to justify that on the basis that there is at least one topic on which feminism's stance is actually debatable?

It's easy to get caught up in the debate and cling to one side. I do this with feminism sometimes because I feel like it is such a fad right now, and man hating has become cool.

However, I also realize that there are some female issues that, like mens issues, need to be addressed. Men not having access to victim of sexual assault resources is the same as women not having access to places like Planned Parenthood.

I wish the discussions would converge more on those topics rather than the vitriol, but like I said, I get caught up in it myself, so I can't judge.

The underlying philosophy of feminism is men oppress women as a class, patriarchy theory, etc.

This gives rise to mainstream thoughts within feminism such as "sexism against men doesn't exist" and believing that the problems men face only exist (if a feminist can even admit this) only arise as a consequence from oppressing women.

To any person who disagrees with this, agreeing with any points feminists make means supporting a set of paradigms that we find reprehensible.

The manosphere, in general doesn't want to talk about feminism. It wants demons to fight against. It's why the same folks who expect us to keep in mind the differences between the redpill, TRP, and RPW keep confusing sex positive feminists with the "all PiV is rape under a patriarchy" type.

It takes a lot of hard work for them to stay this confused, really. We should respect their practiced ignorance, as it's a thing of beauty. After every explanation, they've got to simulate the symptoms of severe dementia, while posing as an informed critic.

OP, I hope you are not of a delicate constitution. The responses you're getting are worse than useless. I hope the mods see this comment section, because the general tone of these responses is why PPD skates constantly along the edge of total shithole-dom (with the odd break to dive in and splash around in the shit).
