If you want x,y,z in a relationship find a spouse that agrees to it. If you are dark skinned woman, don't complain that the tall rich guy doesn't want to date you.

I don't get how the second sentence follows from the first. You went from talking about women sleeping around not being able to get a doctor and then changed it to dark skinned women not being able to get tall rich guys....seems like totally different issues.

The situation for women has been dire. Feral at times. Whatever changes women there feel they need to bring in is okay by me.

I'm not putting down your culture. There's a lot to love and respect about Indian culture. But when you have groups of men raping elderly nuns, children and women to death, there's something very wrong that needs fixing.

This leads me to assume you don't see how shitty that is and you resent the ppl who point out how shitty it is. As an Indian myself I'd like to tell you to grow up, the caste system is dead. If you observed deeply you can see that only rich, entitled women screaming feminism. they are doing it for attention. they don't give a fuck about low class women. there is no good will happen because of feminism.

One of the main things really is the cultural values towards marriage. In Indian culture these days, women after they marry usually move in with their husbands. Women take their husbands last name, children take the last name of the husband as well, and Indian culture there are a lot of prayers and ceremonies women do for their husbands.

If you look far into rural area, you can find similar unicorns grazing there.

Now, a lot of feminists have really taken offense with these traditions. They say that women should be able to do whatever they want, that women should be able to sleep around, you get the idea.

Forget about deepika, shes total bullshit.

The thing is, when it comes to marriage women have a huge upper-hand due to selective abortions, there are far more men than women. It's not that the woman that has slept around can't get a husband, it's that she won't get the rich husband that comes from a family of doctors. To me, I don't see why this is wrong?

Right you don't quite understand the problem so let me break this down for you.

I don't think you explained your point all that well or maybe you didn't want to mention some salient points.

Women usually don't just move in with their husband. They move in with their husband AND his parents. Many women do not like this because they LOSE freedom and have to deal with some judgemental aunty. It's quite simple. We are both men. Do you drink? Do you smoke? Really? You don't? Interesting. Cause I know for a fact that nearly 70% of Indian men HAVE smoked. Let's say you drank and smoke. Would you hide it from your mother in law? Why? If you don't want to live with your mother in law because it is a new place and uncomfortable why should women do that? For Fuck Sake. She's marrying YOU not your mum and dad.
You did not mention many of those prayers and ceremonies require you to fast or not be menstruating and frankly most women don't have time for this shit in this day and age. You made it sound like it was this harmless thing, not a major cause of female anaemia among Hindus. And I am sure you can eat your meals at the same time and she doesn't have to wait to eat AFTER you.
You want a fair skinned and slim woman. Fine. But have you considered what women want? Here's the fun bit. Women's sexuality is improving in India too. They kind of don't want most Indian guys because most Indian guys don't take care of themselves, dress like they are in the 80s without the excuse of all that cocaine and quite frankly are incredibly unfit to survive on their own. They are told that they can demand better and many Indian guys simply do not make the cut because they have grown up expecting EVERYTHING to come on a plate. If you want Aishwariya Rai you are going to have to look like Hrithik Roshan. If you look like Vijaykanth then you are going to have to realise you are not going to find someone super attractive unless they had no choice.
THE core of this argument is choice. Indian women now are starting to have it. Where once they danced for your pleasure they don't any more.
Hi, I am the tall doctor guy (well tall for an Indian, 5 ft 11). Stop making excuses.
They are complaining that the quality of guys is poor. As in their choices are often barely literate alcoholics, mummy's boys with big issues and gigantic infants. And I say this as a man who regularly plays video games, reads comic books and enjoys pretending to be a dwarf cleric. There is a difference. Responsibility.
The issue is you are reliant on arranged marriages. Did I show up to my job inteview with messy hair and my 2 month beard? Did I fuck! I shaved my head and cultivated a nice 2 day beard and kept it neat and trim and fashionable. And I am a fucking doctor. I don't even get rated on how I look. BUT I wanted to stand out. So I did these things. It was clearly a sham, the place I was working for didn't mention problems. They didn't mention crumbling infrastructure until the ceiling fell on me. Or the fact that the hospital had flooring laid by incompetent boobs who didn't leave space for tiles to expand so sometimes during summer they exploded. And I didn't mention to them that I swear like a fucking sailor. It's fine at a job. But do you think an interview is the best way to arrange a marriage? Or hell? Do you even think my parents know what sort of women I am into? Hell do you even think a virgin knows what she's getting into by marrying me? The fault is in the system. Not the women. The system is broken and needs to be changed. And what you are seeing is that change. Since everyone's deciding to get married on the basis of job interviews the superficial only is taken into account.
