Probably passion. A lot of my exes simply cared deeply about <x>. Unfortunately, that doesn't always carry over well into a relationship.

There's also the generic sense of humour, charisma, shared values, etc.

Has bearing. Doesn't whine or complain. Doesn't have anything to prove. Knows what he's about. Calm and reflective.

Physical prowess. Can carry a 200 lb guy out of combat.

Intelligent. Well-read. Contemplative. Has mastered a technical field.

Competent at life: has his shit together--finances, family relations, work, etc.

Bonus: the stack of ribbons and rockers is pretty hot on him when he's in his dress blues. The big shoulders also fill out the uniform nicely.

When I had this conversation with my SO earlier this week, where we restricted it to the top trait, he said kindness. I said ability to compromise.

That being said, I value: honesty, compassion, intellect, willingness to explore new things, and tenacity. I'd also prefer someone who shares most of the same core values, since I spend enough time squabbling about them with my family.

I'm not one who is sold on looks as easily, since I think I have a bit of a hippy inside me (let me get to know someone and I'll think they're beautiful). Probably the only limitation is someone not ridiculously overweight.

Physically I like dark features, no facial hair, nice teeth, glasses, and a lean build. Don't really care about height.

Personality-wise I'm attracted to kindness, creativity, good conversation skills, a good sense of humor and maturity.

Dark sense of humour, funny, chilled, big nose, taller than me. Preferably lanky with a small beer belly/ Dad bod type abdomen.

Well. Attractiveness. The ability to attract me. It is different every time.

Sometimes it's the eyes, which are so blue and kind. Sometimes are the gestures, which are so sweet and gentle. Sometimes it's the way they carry themselves. And all the times it's combined with the fact that they're tall and handsome (sorry if that's being shallow, but nature you know).

But many boys are tall and handsome - much more than the 20% announced by the red pill. Young men are mostly attractive. That special thing that I love usually translates as kindness COMBINED with some kind of power to practice said kindness.

And blue eyes. I love blue eyes.

physical attraction. This has changed a lot in the last decade; I don't need a body builder, but as I've gotten older, I've begun to appreciate a healthy body. I'm not perfect myself-I smoke occasionally-but I go to the gym 4-5 days a week and eat pretty healthy-I've found I appreciate the same. Plus it's easier to keep in my good habits if I don't have to fight against someone else's bad ones.

Some kind of career drive or plan. I'm working on my second degree and in the Military. I don't specifically require college or military, but some kind of fulfilling career path is necessary. My thing lately has been mechanics. Something about working with their hands is pretty attractive.

Intellectual conversation and a lot of humor. I'm smart and I enjoy fierce debates and good-natured teasing. Balanced with a sense of maturity and context--that's sometimes the hard thing to find.

A high libido and willingness to experiment.

Reliability and honesty. I'm odd, I wouldn't mind an open relationship, but I'd have to trust that when you say you used a condom, you used a condom.

Good and open communication skills. I'm shockingly honest and I appreciate it when close people treat me similarly.

Optimism. I was seeing a guy who fit literally all of my earlier points, but he often had the most bitter and cynical views on the world.

I was initially attracted to him because I felt like we 'clicked', I found it very easy to talk to him (which is not common with me) and we seemed to match up pretty well on issues I cared about. After getting to know him more over the course of a year the qualities I find the most attractive/ admire the most about him are:

his passion for finding out new things/sharing knowledge with me
his compassion for other people and how this reflects into him feeling that he needs to do as much as he can to help others
the fact that he values my thoughts and opinions, thinks no less of me if I have a different opinion to him and actually thoroughly enjoys it when I do because he likes listening to what I have to say and having discussions/debates with me

Plus we have a similar sense of humour, can spend time very easily in each other's company and are very good at talking through any problems we have.

Edit: in case it isn't clear: 'him' is my boyfriend.

Physical attraction (ottermode), education, family orientated, 2 previous LTR that ended on amicable terms (NO CHEATERS!), independent, similar socioeconomic status, excellent dresser, tall, casual drinker, non-smoker, never drugs, no tattoos/piercings, similar interests/hobbies but we also have differences, good in bed/likes to have fun..there's more but that's the basics.

its not the question but i wanna try spending time with a woman right now. just go out once with one. but im too busy to find one.

i dont want a blue or a red kinda man. i want someone in the middle, a man who has balanced himself and can lean to whichever suits the situation.
