Hypergamy extends from a woman's need for alpha-fucks and beta-bucks, but under the right circumstances, she doesn't need to choose one or the other. The ideal man for an ltr has enough Alpha traits to keep her tingles firmly in place, but enough beta qualities to be in a healthy and happy relationship. Women can deal with their hypergamy by finding such a man and then keeping him using girl-game techniques.

Through self-awareness can blossom self-control.

There was a study done on self-control in children. They sat the child down at a table with a tasty treat on it. The researcher then explained, "You can eat this treat. However, if you wait for five minutes, we'll give you two treats."

The children who successfully controlled themselves all had a similar behavior: they wouldn't look at the treat. They looked at the ceiling, got up and paced around the room, sang to themselves... different forms of self-distraction.

Point is, the way to resist temptation is not to put yourself in that situation in the first place.

If I'm in a serious LTR, and she wants to go to a nightclub and get drunk with her girlfriends, that makes me seriously reevaluate the relationship. Why? Because she willingly put herself in a tempting situation. It would be just like me going to a strip club with $1000 in my pocket. If I value my LTR, I'm not going to do that. Not because I'm not trustworthy, but because I'm fallible. I'm not perfect, and I know that. So I'm going to structure my choices to make fidelity easy.

That's the idea -- limit temptation.

The confusion lies in thinking that hypergamy is bad. It isn't. Hypergamy just means that a woman is trying to get the best man she can get. The problem is that women lack a rational framework to figure it out. They go by emotion and that screws with them in the end. Rational thinking is cultivated in childhood and if it is not, then emotions is all that is left which leads to the single mom.

I'm trying to think of what i would do if i were in a woman's shoes. I would look for a good mate while i still retained my beauty, so i'd marry young (maybe even try to find my mate in college). I'd go after a slightly above average looking beta who works hard and has good values and maybe try to help mold some alpha characteristics in him. Edit: I would seriously consider looking for a man in a church too.

Funny thing, typing that out, i just realized that i described my mother and father.

Basically the opposite of the whorish way women act these days.

If that is our nature then how can we help it ? Should we even fight it ?

Start a movement of women getting out of the work force to support the family unit. When women stop pursuing careers, men will earn higher wages, and stable families will be on the rise. The natural balance that keeps hypergamy in check will even itself out.

What should we do if we find a superior man even if we already have a decent partner? Should we go against our nature ?

Fight to abolish no fault divorce laws and teach women not to treat marriage as some childish form of super boyfriend and girlfriend mode where the vows don't matter and cash prizes aren't awarded just because he or she aint haaaaappppy. If marriage becomes a respected institution that neither party is allowed to just randomly up and split from for no good damn reason once again, men will have valid incentive to tie the knot and build futures together with women that understand the definition of commitment.

humans by nature will try to get the best deal they can get, be it people or whatever. Its just a difference on what they perceived to be of value. money is always of value, so they pursue it.

if you have money yourself, obviously its not such a biggie. and at that point, your nature is still active but then you follow through with the next need in the list.

off topic but it just crossed my mind. on the idea of alpha fucks, how different are you then from the sluts that men screw themselves if your place in a woman is just to fuck her. i cant find anything to be proud of especially about it. you basically just become another sexual tool.

we try to get what we lack. the more you fill in the less you need from others. the more options you will have coz youre less reliant on them. some things must come from others though ofcourse, you cant fuck yourself - i mean you can but its not the same.

Whether something is or isn't your "nature"(a lot of it also tends to be social conditioning that people confuse for being "their nature"), you can still choose to do something about it. If you find yourself being aware or concious of hypergamy, or following a double-standard, then you can still choose to change your approach on men/dating. It's just a matter of questioning the type of person you are, and questioning your own beliefs/actions. If you are pursuing the wrong type of men, or focusing on the wrong traits for the wrong reasons, than just be concious of that and try to change your approach or what you are prioritizing. If you want to take a more proactive approach, then just approach men the way men would approach you and keep an open mind. There are a lot of great men out there, even if their value isn't always evident on the first glance.

Make your own choices. If you're truly happy with the guy you're with why risk it for a quick fuck. If the guy you're with doesn't do it for you, then find someone else.
