If my son were RP, as in a "newbie" subscriber on Reddit?

I would feel as though I failed him and I would immediately attempt to shape a more holistic perspective of gender relations (if he's hetero) and general life goals.

A child suffering with bitterness and unchecked resentment is not something I would let fester.

My mother and father did a good job of consistently checking in with us and having long adult conversations about our aspirations, troubles, and feelings.

I can't imagine applying the same techniques and not knowing if my child were going through a life altering shift in his worldview and perspective.

Teach your son to be an asshole. Anything less and he's going to be chewed up and spit out by the world.

If I ever have a son I would teach him a few red pill concepts, but his upbringing would be mostly feminist. I would teach him that masculine men are the most successful in this world and to always keep his best interests in mind. I would probably also include a lesson in the realities of AF/BB. However none of the red pill misogyny and slut shaming would be accepted, fuck that shit. I'd be proud if my son came out somewhat red pill, but if he started to sound like the top posters in TRP I would nip that in the bud.

God. I'd just be so...disappointed.

He'd have to have a pretty subpar education to agree with TRP's main tenets. Just...no grasp of history beyond the standard US high school pablum (I mean I went to a "good school" and, history-wise, the curriculum wasn't fantastic by any means), a very poor understanding of science and statistics, and underdeveloped critical reasoning faculties.

I'd be incredibly disappointed. Mainly in his terrible theories. I'd probably secretly start to hate him. Hopefully in this hypothetical situation, I'd be rich enough to send him somewhere else. Or I'd take him out to the woods and leave him there with only a kazoo and several T-bone streaks tied around his neck (for snacks! When he's hungry.)

I can't imagine how I'd get such a son as him. I seriously think I would hate him. I'd just...push him away. Hire other people to guide him, tutors to teach him as necessary. Maybe replace him with a younger sibling.

I would be so disappointed. My strong and gentle oldest boy, my cheeky, lively middle boy and my cuddly little baby boy are all such terrific people; kind, loving, generous and conscientious; I would be devastated if they 180'd into the kind of selfish spoilt brats that TRP is made up of.

Yes, I do. If he were RP, I'd feel like I failed him as a parent. RPers are not happy, well adjusted people, and no one wants that for their child. It's your job as a parent to instill in your child the tools they need in life to become well adjusted and content. And it would break my heart that not only does he have such an opinion on women, but he would view myself and his sister in that light. Hopefully some sense could be knocked into him before he goes too far down that path. I'm not sure how that would play out, I'd have to cross that bridge when I get there.

I do have a teenaged brother who has said some "Nice Guy" type things. My husband and I, in the most loving way possible, tore him a new one for the dumb stuff he was spewing. The kid is immensely spoiled. He is one of the brattiest, most entitled child I have ever met, yet suffers from very low self esteem because he has virtually never heard the word "no" in his life, and therefore has no self-disipline, and is constantly disappointed and pissed off because he thinks the world should grovel at his feet. I love the kid, but goddamn.

Luckily, my son has a wonderful role model in his father, so hopefully he will turn out better than RP.

Probably be really disappointed but hey, that's life. Your kids aren't going to make you proud 100% of the time. As long as he doesn't talk about that nonsense in my house, we're all good.

What an awful, deluded way to live.

RPs turn themselves into the kind of people they think women are. It's ironic, it's sad, it's a terrible way to live.
