Keep in mind that besides the physical fitness cues indicating high testosterone levels (i.e. height, broad shoulders, narrow waist, leanish physique, square jaw), there are "social" fitness cues as well.

Dominant (i.e. jerkish) behaviour suggests high testosterone levels, which females are attracted to. So yeah, even Mr. McBeta does better if he's an inconsiderate jerk. If you're handsome on top of that, you'll be swimming in pussy.

Girls don't actually like assholes/jerks, it is just the rationalization that other men apply to Chad. Chad is busy at the gym, he is busy because he is popular at work and he is advancing his career, he is busy because he is popular outside of work and is constantly expanding his social network because he recognizes its value. Good looks help, but more importantly it snowballs into a person that has this type of behavior. His looks may help him find a little success when he is young, and having a taste of success drives him to seek more. An ugly guy may experience more failures and he loses his drive as he tries to avoid further pain or humiliation.

The typical beta male has excessive amounts of time in his hand because he doesn't work out, he just puts his hours in like a drone at work (rather than having the ambition or social skills to actually advance), and he doesn't have many friends to hang out with. If he could, the beta would spend hours every day serving the girl of his dreams because he has nothing else to do. Chad doesn't have time to do that, it looks like he doesn't care at all, so the beta labels him a jerk or asshole. Girls recognize this and often use the same language when talking to betas and saying stuff like "I don't know why I always end up with the jerks that break my heart". She says that to her betas when Chad choose a better girl over her.

But more often than not, Chad is probably a good guy that is fair to everybody (rather than unfairly favoring a particular girl, but this is a bizarre concept to betas). Good-looking, successful people with many options don't have any motive to be jerks or assholes. It's the betas and white knights that are the actual assholes.

Being nice never gets you laid. Never. Being attractive, however, airways gets you laid. Supplementing attractive with nice is a moot point. Women saying they want "nice" means they want to extract value from men that they aren't attracted to. It's plan B

This is also why it's infuriating seeing someone like Ryan Gosling spouting about feminism. He could preach the virtues of satanism and women would still lust after him. Meanwhile feminism is ruining the chances of happiness for "normal" men and women in the rest of the world

I think for ideal results, you need to have both. Be attractive and be a confident douchebag.

The facial/body attractiveness is important because, well, that's the basic biological metric we animals use to determine whether a mate is fit for reproduction.

The douchebag part is important because it shows the girl you see yourself as higher value than her. Everyone, especially women, wants to crowd around the leader of the pack because they want the status-by-association and protection.

One of these traits without the other will make it very difficult to get a fulfilling relationship. If you're hot but have a wimpy weak personality, the most you'll ever get is a one night stand before the girl becomes bored. If you're dominating/confident but ugly, you're seen as an overly entitled creep and possible rapist. You won't even get that one night stand.

I have a friend whom over the years I've helped take from BP basement dweller to walking the RP path. However he has always been physically a "Chad". He's not that bright, manages a retail chain and that's really the most he's capable of. But he has a good heart and if you can see past the douche vaneer you'll see pretty much every action he takes is motivated by a desire to be loved. He's really just a baby in a giant man's body.

But I say all this because his physical stature, DGAF attitude and neediness that manifests as constant escalation lands him quite a bit of pussy. But that's it, it never goes any further. It's pump and dumb and nothing else. Which some of you may see as a good thing, but in reality it leaves him hallow inside.

We were recently talking about how sex just serves to make him feel even worse now. "Yeah, it's good in the moment, but as soon as we finish I have to get out of there before I puke I feel so disgusted."

Personally that type of relationship has never appealed to me, the damages to your character, your will, your very soul were always blatantly apparent to me.

Girls who ride the CC are emotionally scarred by it. Well, guys who provide the CC can end up just as damaged by it.

You have to work on you, fortify your "drill" so it can handle every type of medium it will ever enter. If you don't it will get damaged just by using it.

High achievers have always known that delay of gratification is a requirement to building the strength of character required to bear the weight of high success, the burden of it. Pretty much every TRP reader will concede that looks make a difference. That's why we advocate lifting weights, cleaning yourself up, dressing sharper, etc. There are certainly guys who coast on their looks despite a horrid personality.

However, there are also lots of ugly Chads and good-looking chumps. Shit, let's take it further - some guys have everything going for them (looks, career, status, etc.) but fail with women, while others look like hellspawn and spend all day smoking weed bought on welfare, yet are magnetic to women. It seems clear that even if looks are important, personality makes a difference too, and thus the question TRP tries to answer is:

Ceteris paribus, what sort of personality is attractive to women?

We actually tend not to think being an asshole is attractive to women, or the endgame of TRP. It just happens that many of us used to be hopeless with women and resented men who were successful, and lumped a whole bunch of positive personality traits (leadership, humor, self-control, sexuality, boldness, etc.) into labels like "jerk".

Accordingly, we use heuristics like "be a jerk to women". It can obviously backfire (for example, some interpret it as an instruction to be a bitter misogynist and get nowhere), but most of the time it gives guys a cue to stand up for themselves a little more, and take women a little less seriously, which gets them better results.

So no, we don't think your Chad T. is so successful with women because he treats them like shit. We think he's successful because he's both good-looking and has an alpha personality. Some of us might never be able to match his looks, but it's completely possible to attain the same charisma, so it occupies the bulk of our focus.

Women have been conditioned to believe that "nice guy" traits are deceptive and unattractive on two levels:

The majority of males in this world buy into the notion that being "nice" to women will win them over. That is deceptive because they aren't taking the risk to demonstrate their attraction to women.
After going through many partners, the majority of women make a correlation that because all the attractive men they've dated/fucked/etc. treated them "poorly" (dominant), it must be a common identifier amongst attractive males.

I get what you're trying to say OP, but I've done so much reading on seduction, dating, and game, and I never recalled 'Be a jerk' as a high prioritized tactic.

Confidence is still #1 from what I've gathered. Being bold in front of a girl. You can literally go up to a girl, trip on your shoes and fall in front of her, get up, remain stoic, flirty, and charming, and talk to her no problem even if you're a fatty. Just need confidence(IDGAF) to pull it off.

Fatty can be more successful w/ girls if Chad T. doesn't have the same level of witt/charm/confidence. Obviously if Chad T. did literally the exact same thing as an alpha fatty, Chad would win everytime due to higher SMV. This is simple math.

"Being a jerk" is what the BP sees through the BP lens... to someone indoctrinated into the idea that women must be worshipped and treated as infallible gods whose needs and feelings supercede all other consideration, prioritizing your own needs is "being a jerk."

Teasing women instead of groveling to them is "being a jerk".

Speaking your mind instead of what a woman wants to hear is "being a jerk."

Reaping the rewards of focusing on yourself, as opposed to their unsuccessful strategy of focusing on the girl, is "being a jerk".

It depends on who's definition of "jerk" we are using here; the real definition, or the "female definition". To a lot of women, any man who doesn't fall over himself to cater to her every whim is a "jerk". I've seen women call men "jerks" simply for not dropping his weekend plans to help her move. Or he's a "jerk" for not buying her a drink.

Chad T, in all objective consideration, really isn't a "jerk"; he's just operating from a position of abundance mentality. He doesn't behave like all of her other orbiters who are treating her like a princess 24/7.

For instance, if somebody doesn't hold the door for me as I'm walking into the gym, I don't call him/her a "jerk". If they do, I nod and thank them. For your typical American Entitled Princess^tm , if you don't hold the door for her, she will say you're a "jerk", because men holding doors for her is the standard that she's accustomed to, and any man that doesn't must be an asshole/"jerk".

In other words, Chad T is probably more apt to treat women just like he treats his guy friends. Chad T, would probably not assess himself a "jerk" in the first place.

I do. But we need to break down the terms "nice guy" and "jerk." By "nice" this sub usually means supplicating to women and generally avoiding confrontation. That's 90% of dudes a woman has interacted with since turning 16. By acting differently, a guy is immediately separating yourself. It's also interesting and exciting, even if the dude isn't great looking. Obviously, someone can take being a "jerk" too far, but I've never been called a jerk by a woman without a smile on her face and indications of interest.

As always, we should think of the inverse: imagine we lived in a world where most women were wife material and there were only a few sluts. Your at a bar and you see one of these rare sluts among a group of future great wives. What do you do? Now imagine yourself at a bar in the real world. You encounter a girl who is good wife material (imagine this was as obvious as slutdom). What do you do? In both cases, you probably go for the one that's different. Even beyond biological imperative for women mating with high social status and high dominance males, basic human psychology is attracted to variety, all else equal.

I'd argue that treating females nicely (accomodating, pedestalizing etc.) is so detrimental that the opposite may actually be better. It won't necessarily get you far if you can't back it up with displays of high value, but certainly further than being nice.

Think of it: Chad Thundercock treats women as disposable. He pumps them and dumps them at his leisure. The less attractive version of CT may not pump and dump attractive women, but because he doesn't care about women, he may shamelessly pump and dump the less attractive ones as well. He also doesn't really care about boundaries, respect, or what others think of him, so he crudely hits on women instead of trying to woo them, and every once in a while, his brashness pays off and he gets laid.

Now compare that to an unattractive nice guy who wants to do the right thing, treat women with respect, and also not use women he doesn't really feel attracted to. He'll get nothing - neither his somewhat attractive oneitis nor the less attractive pump & dump material. Even worse, because he never experiences first hand what actually works at least with some women, he'll stay unattractive because he uses "asexual"-game.

There is a threshold for looks. Looks only harm or benefit you at either ends of the spectrum. If you're a complete troll, well, you're probably fucked. If you're a a 6'4" adonis, you'll probably get a ton of wool. For the guys who fall into the statistical mean of looks, an IDGAF attitude, game, and status will help you tremendously in terms attracting women.

For most women, money/power/fame will trump looks a big majority of the time when it comes to attraction. Sure, you're not going to pull every girl, all of the time. So what? Build a bridge and get over it. If you're putting yourself first, Chad shouldn't bother you. For the truly misfortunate looking, sorry you lost the genetic lottery. It's a Jungle out there. Might is right.

I'll leave you with an anecdotal story:

Awhile back, I met this chick and her friend at a bar. Turns out we all go to the same school. Anyway, this chick is a solid 9 as far as looks go, and she was equally matched in personality. A real alpha bitch. To make a long story short we end up hanging out that night and somewhat building a "connection". Now as a guy who is 5'9/10", and was slightly out of shape at the time, I really didn't have a shot with this chick, realistically. As time went on, our social circles would mingle and we would hang out more often. So I decided to turn up my alpha game to 11, just to see if I could make this chick attracted to me. Keep on mind, this chick would constantly shit test me about my height, always talking about how she "would only date guys who were at least 6'5" and "jacked". I passed every shit test and just kept upping the alpha. Making fun of her constantly, not putting her on a pedestal, etc etc. If any of you have seen Julien from RSD, that's exactly how I was behaving. I never asked her permission for shit, and I always told HER what to do. What do you think ended up happening? Before long she was texting me constantly, leaving notes on my car, baking me shit for my birthday. Always charming me. I think the only nice thing I ever did for her was give her a spare piece of fruit I had after a workout. To put this all simply, a great majority of the time, attraction isn't a choice.

You're wrong. I was among the top 20 males in terms of attractiveness at my High School. My attitude wasn't rebellious enough so I wasn't able to swim in as much poon as I'd have liked to. It's all about the attitude. Looks alone will only get you so far.
