I mean, if you are given an opportunity to have a really tough body, that is unaffected by poison, diseases, aging, can easily survive mosy bullet shots, strong enough to lift a car, beautiful looking and also having intelligence far superior to human intelligence, would you reject that offer?

Now, all of that will be accessible only to a small minority of people.

If they are or become sentient - self aware - they will have to be considered to be living things and given "human" rights. Whether it's a biological clone or mechanized/digital clone, if it's sentient and has self-autonomy and self-interests, it's alive and needs the protection of "human" rights, which will now be called the "Sentient Being Rights Act" or some damned thing.

I have a growing feeling that only people who have never designed/coded anything autonomous make such posts. There's a reason why a person who is a design engineer finds the idea of intelligent design increasingly laughable as their professionalism improves.

All machines ever created by humans, unlike naturally-occuring machines such as life, serve one and one purpose only - to optimize a certain mathematical function/equation.

For mechanical sytems, it's the amount of movement/action produced per unit of energy/fuel consumed.

For control systems, (it's shortest response time) AND (smallest false positives) AND (smallest false negatives), where "AND" can be addition or multiplication, depending on the task.

For artificial intelligence systems, it's minimization of error within a certain algebraic model (smoothing, integration, forecasting, etc.).

A sex bot even THEORETICALLY capable of committing such a huge error as falling for another bot rather than its customer - will be discarded on the earliest stages of design, or bought back by the company and destroyed in a furnace.
