I hear women complaining about this all the time. The house is falling apart. The Hubster does nothing about it or he half-asses it or he demos everything and leaves it.

My Dad did so much: worked on both cars, painted and hung wallpaper; put up fences; built a shed; laid a concrete driveway; repaired everything. So did the neighbors. And he worked a full time office job.

Most men just don’t do that these days.

Aside from being lazy, LVM lack the character to do projects. For example, I put up curtain rods today for some heavy curtains. I had to get the correct drywall fixtures; charge my drill; use the correct drill bits to drill and screw; measure and measure again. The job took way longer than I thought. It requires attention to detail.

Also, a lot of projects require planning and take several steps. For example, repairing drywall: patch, fill, sand. Sand again. Primer. Paint.

LVM lack the ability to see it through and do a proper job. They get angry, sulky, often they do a really poor job. More often, they don’t do it at all. Usually, when they do manage to start, they have to go back to the hardware store because they didn’t begin by making a list of what they need.

These jobs are not hard! If you haven’t got one, buy a drill and learn how to do it yourself. You can Google everything. You will save yourself $$$.
